Joe Douglas looked like nothing special as a GM, but he did face constant interference from Woody Johnson and later Aaron Rodgers. Tough to say what decisions were really his. Eg, he wanted to resign Bryce Huff this offseason. Woody Johnson vetoed it, and that kicked off the Haasan Reddick trade drama.
Saleh's got defensive chops, unquestionably. I think he deserves another chance at being a HC too. His offenses were a never-ending dumpster fire between Zach Wilson, the Tim Boyle interregenum, and a washed Aaron Rodgers.
Basically, the Jets are a toxic situation, and people don't come out of the dumpster smelling like a rose. We've seen enough of Saleh to give him some benefit of the doubt. Douglas, I'm not so sure.
