What's your go to sandwich? I'm not talking about French dips, Nashville hot chicken, or muffulettas that take a bunch of ingredients, cooking, and time.

What sandwich do you build after mowing the grass, changing the home air filters, and washing the sheets? The kind you slap together after dropping off the kids, cleaning the garage, and before the Western Kentucky vs New Mexico State game? The kind of sandwich that you've always got the ingredients for, time to make, and requires no more than a toaster or maybe a microwave?

I'll go bologna and cheese on sourdough. I'm a bologna slut and the smell alone makes me want to climb up on top of it and lay down. Thick cut Oscar Meyer with the red ring and every type of animal you can ground up in it please. Add an ultra processed Kraft single and a healthy shot of Heinz yellow mustard. Sourdough is a little extravagant but it's the only bread we always have in our home and an adequate vessel. If it's the time of season where I've got a garden tomato slice...even better. Tuna fish with crushed jalapeno chips runs a close second for me but it's the tube steak for the win.

Can't go wrong with bologna. I get a local brand (Petit Jean) cut a 1/4" thick at the store deli. Usually just have it on wheat bread with lettuce and a bit of mayo.

Rueben sandwich.
Toasted rye bread. Swiss cheese, corned beef. Sourkrout. Thousand island dressing.

Love sandwiches. Not many I don't enjoy. But I don't really make them anymore. Too much produce goes bad although I'm probably spending more with so much Door Dash, so not sure if there is much of a trade-off.

My favorites:
- Schlotzky's Big Original with lots of hot sauce or Cholula
- PIzza Subs done right
- Arbys French Dip, and any other varieties
- Sourdough bread for most sandwiches, like Rye too
- Grilled Cheese, something great about it no matter how simple
- Jersey's Mikes cold Italian giant size
- the big breakfast sandwiches you find everywhere, but for quick and easy nothing beats Egg McMuffins
- BLTs, but the beef tomatoes and iceberg lettuce make or break it
- Mustard always the condiment of choice, from Brown Spicy to Grey Poupon to French's regular. Skip the mayo.
- for super easy, pimento cheese sandwiches. Once heard someone refer to it as the peanut butter of the South.

Ever tried Melinda's Habañero Honey Mustard? It's amazing .

My brother makes great homemade pimento cheese with diced Jalapeños.

My second favorite is a BLT with freshly sliced tomatoes from my own garden and replace the mayo with Miracle Whip. Extra crispy bacon piled high on toasted wheat bread.

I'll take whole unsliced tubes of baloney and put it on the smoker for 3 hours . Cut thick slices off of it and fry it and make fried baloney sandwiches.

Subway turkey sandwich double meat with tomato and lettuce

and if I do not want to go out the same at home

Tuna salad sandwich.

Whole grain bread. Sliced red onion. Cooper sharp cheese.

The tuna salad is mayo, salt, pepper and a pinch of garlic powder.
