Well to be honest, if I am giving them goff, then I would not give more than a 4th or 5th.IMO, the Rams shouldn’t have given more than Goff and a second. That’s it. Two first round picks, a third, and Goff? Insane.
Why is his completion percentage so high? On deep throws and everything else y’all tried to debunk for the last 5 years?Wrong. He is an average Qb who is not that accurate and feasts on mediocre teams. He is a middle tier QB. There is nothing wrong with that.
Well this is the rub for me, does mcvay really think he can beat the chiefs just by getting stafford ??????????If the Rams win the Super Bowl with Stanford, then it will be worth it. The lions will waste those picks...nothing much will come of them...
It will be interesting how other teams react. I.e. will those that consider themselves a quality QB away adopt a similar strategy to the RamsI think this is all a knock on effect of Patrick Mahomes. If a team wants to win a Superbowl within the next 10 years or so the chances are their offense will have to be able to score over 30 points and at times, quickly - not during garbage time but consistently throughout a game.
You look at the Ravens. They invested a load in their defense, neglected their offense, especially weapons for Jackson and I just don't see how they can beat the Chiefs with their current set up.
A team like the Rams actually match up well vs the Chiefs if they have a quality QB...they now have a guy who could compete in a shoot out supported by a good defense.
I think to beat the chiefs , you have to have a great defense, and decent offense.I think this is all a knock on effect of Patrick Mahomes. What they do with the picks is irrelevant to the trade. The Rams got raped, but at least they allowed it.If the Rams win the Super Bowl with Stanford, then it will be worth it. The lions will waste those picks...nothing much will come of them...
Issue is if your offense isn't consistently scoring some points vs the Chiefs there's only so much even a great defense can hang onto vs the Chiefs when they are firing on all cylinders. At some point they pull away and they are such strong front runnersI think to beat the chiefs , you have to have a great defense, and decent offense.
Stafford may score more, but question is can rams defense keep KC under 24 >? that is what is needed.
Rams defense with a healthy Donald is scaryI think to beat the chiefs , you have to have a great defense, and decent offense.

Think I'll wait to anoint Diggs or Gallimore. We had Marinelli in the defensive room. McCarthy srafted diggs and Gallimore in one draft
Ravens would match up better if they had a QB who could consistently pass the ball. That run first panic mentality is good for fantasy football, not so much come playoff time when defenses are going to be betterI think this is all a knock on effect of Patrick Mahomes. I do not equate what they're doing to what Booger has done. I do not think they've been the smartest club with the Goff and Gurley deals but I do see their team and SF a good QB away.I'd want something in the middle. A team that risks but does it smartly. I'm sorry but I can't say getting rid of my draft picks from 2016-23 is smart. It just hasn't been proven to work. Rams have no direction they are literally winging it. And its funny because they are getting applauded on this site but they have literally made similar moves to what Jerry has done in the past that we kill him for. Trading a 1st for Roy Williams....trading up to get Mo....spending 50 million on Brandon Carr.........drafting a running back high and spending max money to keep him....they are literally running their team like Jerry except them putting their future in the hands of a young OC actually worked for them.
Jackson is what he is and they had to alter their offense to fit his skillset. I do not think he was their first choice at QB.Ravens would match up better if they had a QB who could consistently pass the ball. The days of the Jeff Fisher Rams might be just around the corner. So the Rams get Stafford, 32, who’s only made one pro bowl in the NFL, and they will not have a #1 pick until 2024. Insanity!
not quite sure of the details of the famous sodomy of the Vikings by Jimmy but I think this might be worse. The Rams got hosed on this trade.
Incredible they gave up that much for a 33-year old QB who has never won a playoff game.
Yeah, that two future 1s would be tough.Yeah and giving up draft capital isn’t helping build that defense. I don’t know why this is so hard for people to comprehend
