The real question/comparison is Garrett vs McVay. Hmmm

I prefer to compare defenses. I think whoever does the better job and whoever Coaches best in this game takes it.

My heart is completely with the Cowboys first and the Rams second. Has been all year. Hope whoever wins this game goes to the Super Bowl.
I do not want the Saints or the Chargers to go to the Super Bowl. I greatly dislike Phillip Rivers. He has bombed / choked for 15 years. And I still am rooting for the Chiefs in the AFC.
I have been a long lover of the Patriots, but I just have not seen it in them all year.

MVP: Patrick Maholmes
Super Bowl: Dallas/Rams vs Chiefs

Prescott considers it a personal slap in the face that he went 8th off the board. Playing against the 1st overall pick will probably give him a bit more motivation, even if he won't admit it.
if that's what motivates him, then you don't get football. being in this game alone should motivate him. who cares about the draft...well fans like you do.....

Not sure why we're not considering all the games.

I think our game plan is simple, just like the rest of the year, run the ball. control the clock. make a few timely plays. keep their offense on the side line. we will see a lot of 2 TE sets, trying to get guards to the second level. if Zeke is able to get past the LOS, he will find some success on the second level against their LBs....of course they will be expecting that and prepare, but it will come down to execution.

offensively, they will try to go deep as they saw seattle, giants, indy, tampa go deep on us late in the season quite a few times and find success. look for us to come in with a slightly different defensive game plan. expect the DL to be physical, and rotate a lot of linemen and attack. we will try to stop their running game with front line mostly. expect to see LVE and smith drop into coverage in the middle to cover some zones in the middle. their speed and recongnition is key. keeping big plays at check on playaction is key.

If this game was about Goff vs Dak we would lose

Fortunately it's not......we have a Superbowl defense and the #1 running back in the NFL

this is what we call a straw man.

How is it a straw man?

One poster claims that if we get into a shootout with the Rams we likely can't win. Another poster counters with a rebuttal that says we won a shoot out with the Giants (also sans Elliott) so the first poster's point is wrong.

The only logical conclusion is the guy is saying the Giants and Rams are comparable opponents, ergo, if we could win a shootout with the Giants, we can win one with the Rams.

Also, had Elliott played against the Giants, Dak wouldn't have been throwing as much, so he screwed his own point.

I'm not that impressed by Goff. I've been very critical of Dak, probably too critical because I'd rather have him at QB than Goff. What Goff has is an excellent game plan that utilizes the talent on his team. But the Bears showed he can be rattled. Rattled to the point he turns into a turnover machine. No thanks, I'd rather have the guy that holds on to the ball too long.

he said "lol @ dak in a shootout." dak was just in a shootout and fared quite well, and yes, without his full team.
your first sentence is changing the OP's words quite a bit; i'm taking them verbatim. he said "...in a shootout," not "in a shootout vs the rams, we likely can't win." that's a completely different statement than laughing at the thought of dak in a shootout in general, which is exactly what the OP was doing.

besides, the rams defense isn't particularly great. the offense could possibly put up a good amount of points on it.

Kind of like the 54 attempts against the Eagles with Zeke in the game?
