Goff and Wentz were the 1st 2 picks for a reason. Dak was a 4th round pick for a reason. Sure there are exceptions: Brady(6th round), Montana(3rd round), Wilson(3rd round), Romo(undrafted) etc. For the most part if you want to hit on a franchise QB there is a higher percentage chance to hit on a high 1st rounder.

I wonder what it would be like if Goff was with Garrett and Dak was with McVay?

There’s no doubt Mcvay is a much better coach than Garret.

But Goff is also a very talented QB.

Combine a talented QB with a coach who can develop him. Good things happen.

Our GM puts Dak who is raw, with an incompetent.

Great job by the GM.

Are there 6-5 235 QBs that sling it in the next draft
Lock is 6 3 225 and has been described by one scout scout as another Mahomes. Gunslinger with a completion % in high 50s with a lot of drops by a poor receiving corps. Herbert is 6 5 230+ and can throw it anywhere. Has issues if his primary read is covered. Same scout compared him to Tannehill which is frightening considering hes touted as one of the 2 top QBs if he comes out!

JJ doesn't like taking QB's in the first round. But he should probably consider taking one in the next draft.

Sitting with the number 4 pick Dallas had a great shot to move up and get the next franchise QB knowing Romo's time was running out. When you are that high in the draft you go after the franchise QB not a running back because you believe it's going to help your injury prone QB who was 36 at the time. Instead Philly did the right thing and moved up just like they did moving in front of Dallas to select that tight end Goedert when Dallas was desperate for a tight end. There a ton of examples how this front office blunders things and we wonder why they will be close to 3 decades soon without accomplishing crap.

About 80% of the starting Qb’s are taken in first 2 rounds.
