You could say that Wentz was "spazzing out". That was his description of Prescott until he beat the Seahawks and went to the Pro Bowl.

You’re half right.

Dak is still a spaz.

It’s cute how you think going to the Pro Bowl changes that.

Dak is the only one of the 3 that walked into the NFL and got to drive a Maserati. He's often driven it like a prius.

What we should be asking is what would Dak have looked like with Jeff Fisher and/or the general the lack of weapons the Eagles/Rams had 3 years ago?

Hes also the only one of the 3 that was a raw fourth round pick who was considered to be developmental. He was behind the curve from the beginning. Dak wasn't drafted as the qb his colleagues are, but hes put himself in the conversation. Its no longer about what they've done, its about what is to come now. He began to turn the corner after we got Coop, Im excited to see if he continues to improve. That was no Maserati he drove last year.

Who finished strong this year and who do you want going into next year?

Wentz did not finish the year... again. That's 2 out of 3 years for those who are counting.

Goff tailed off but was luckily carried by defense and running game to the Super Bowl in which he played so poorly he lost despite getting a great effort from his defense.

Dak finished strong with his top target being a mid season acquisition and before that a rookie. An offseason with those guys will work wonders.

AFTER THREE YEARS

Some of you guys still want to break the rules by personally attacking other members that do not mesh with your own takes and calling other members names. All because of this topic.

I suggest if you cannot contain yourself when it comes to this topic than you ghost yourself from the topic. If you cannot go into the topic without getting personal with those that disagree with you and you have to result to attacks and name calling you need to walk away.

If it continues YOU WILL BE BENCHED.

It is way past the time and you all are adult enough to know better and know the rules here.

In a very general sense, our QB plays to the level of his receivers. There really weren't any weak links in the receiving corps in 2016, and Dak had his best season.

In 2017, Dez was not the player he was in 2016, and this happened.
2017
to Bryant
52% 829 yd 6 td 5 int 71.6
to everyone else
66% 2468 yd 16 td 8 int 91.3

In 2018, the team went into the season without an outside WR who had played with the team previously (except for TWill, who ended up with a total of 3 targets), and this happened in the first 7 games.

2018 (games 1-7)
to Hurns/Gallup/Thompson/Austin
52% 563 yds 3 td 3 int 74.2*
to everyone else
67% 837 yds 4 td 1 int 91.7

Enter Amari Cooper, and this happened...

2018 (since game 7)
to Cooper
70% 725 yd 6 td 2 int 115.2
to everyone else
70% 2064 yd 10 td 3 int 97.2

I said "very general sense" because there were obviously other factors that affected Prescott's performance (OL personnel, outside help with his mechanics) but you can basically say he has played to the level of his receivers. That's encouraging, especially if Gallup continues to develop.

*This doesn't count the shovel pass to Austin for a TD, which was only technically a pass attempt. If you count that as a pass, the rating goes up to 79.

The other thing NE did yesterday was call 2 defensive alignments, show 1 and then change inside 15 seconds on the play clock after communication from the bench is stopped. It forced Goff to have to read the defense himself rather than McVeigh doing it for him and telling him what to do. That's what a GOAT coach does to win Super Bowls (this is not some veiled shot at Garrett - there's only 1 GOAT).

Of course when Dak fails then all the excuses get trotted out “it’s the coaching....bad play-calling...the defense didn’t hold up.”
The same thing was said for Romo when he failed to produce in the playoffs.

Those arguments have been around well before Dak got here, so let's not act like this is something new in Dallas or that they are any less valid for Dak vs then they were for Romo.

I prefer to ignore the least significant (and telling) year of a QB and look how they are progressing.

The last two years tell a much more relevant story:

Notice that Dak is the worst of the 3 in pretty much every passing category. The only exceptions being % and yards (only because of 8 more games played than Wentz). He has the advantage as a rusher, but that is all. He's basically a Tyrod Taylor type with a much better team around him.

Sure it is. Actually, it was two competitions that Wentz lost twice this year.

:flagwave:

Yeah. Against Goff.

Still Wentz is the man. Goff runs a offense where he has not to do a lot on his own. Wentz is Wizard on the field.

Props to Mosher, no game winning drives, no QB Winz and no rushing TDS added to passing TDS to create deception... does the average Dak slobberer even know what the other numbers in this chart even mean?
With Goff’s totals being accomplished in 10 fewer games than Dak, Goff is an easy winner. If you exclude Goff’s numbers as a 22 year old having to take over at midseason for a Jeff Fisher train wreck, Goff has easily lapped the field the last two years.

Remember Chicago?
Goff had four picks.
That matched daks tots for 16 games his rookie season.

Since people like to bring up playoffs.

Let’s look at everything a QB can control in the playoffs. Yards, Tds, INTs, completion percentage.

Dak clearly outperforms both(especially considering wentz can’t finish a year)

Goff
64/113 going into super bowl
742 yds
2 tds 1 int

Dak

66/103
794 yds
5TD 2 INT
And that’s just passing, for those who like to act like rushing TDS count fewer points on the board.
