Goff's arm strength

Anyone comparing Goff's arm to Pennington has no idea what they are talking about. It's that kind of stuff that will make nobody take you seriously.

I've seen Pennington throw 50 to hit moss in stride. Don't really care if anyone takes me seriously I call it as I see it and Pennington isn't the worst to be compared to.

Newton > Rodgers > Brees > Ryan = Romo > Goff = Pennington > Brad Johnson(not just Cowboys years considered) > Moore = McCoy

Pennington's arm was just find until he started having all the shoulders issues. He never had a cannon, but he definitely didn't have a noodle before then.

I watched him with great detail this weekend and, to me, he "doesn't drive the ball" well.
I don't know if it is an overall "arm strength" issue, because he seemed to throw the ball down field without much issue or prolongated windup.

He seemed to throw with exceptional anticipation, throwing to spots and not to guys. In a combine setting, without familiarity with your receivers, I found that impressive.

All and all, I think he is a good QB prospect and has a ceiling of a tier two (Matt Ryan, Eli Manning, Russel Wilson) Quarterback. He is worth consideration at the number 4 pick if Ramsey and Bosa are gone.

In regard to Goff, I will say, he is the only quarterback in this draft that throws passes with emphasis on ball placement. His back shoulder throws are NFL caliber right now and he does a good job leading receivers away from contact. Neither Wentz or Lynch are even in the same league as Goff when it comes to ball placement.
