Going to the New England game

My son (he's 31) and I are flying in on Thursday and have tickets for Texas-Oklahoma on Saturday and Cowboys-Patriots on Sunday. I was so excited about both these games but now am kind of bummed because both games look to be pretty bad. No Romo, Dez, etc. and no Longhorn team whatsoever. We would like to do some pre-game tailgating on Sunday. We are staying at the Howard Johnsons approx. 1 mile from the stadium. Any suggestions?

Isn't the Texas/OU game still played at the Cotton Bowl and not at Jerry World?

SAME! I'll be at the State Fair Saturday (can't afford the tix lol since I bought a new car and it's going to be a slaughter, anyway. So I'm going to be VERY drunk and eat some fried crap.) and then Sunday, I'm only going to our game if I can find an affordable ticket.... I was going to buy one ahead of time but they were 260 each for the nosebleeds. But I may try to tailgate. So, yeah, can you tailgate if you don't have tix? Drinking that day too........

I am actually wondering a couple of things about the pregame activities on game day, what sort of stuff do they have going on at the stadium on game day and are there player autographs? I am flying in form out of town, been to one other game in Arlington but didnt goto the pregame stuff lol
