Nice photoshop thing but there is no way he'd wear 12 even if he was here.

Primetime42;3848619 said:Sorry, you lose any credibility when you say Kitna was a major reason for the team turning things around after Red's promotion.
Just like you lose credibility for saying the shower collapse thing was never mentioned. It was mentioned numerous times after that debacle of a game and the shape Romo was in during that presser where he literally had to be helped down from the podium.
If you're gonna knock the guy at least know what the hell you're talking about.

Roethlisberger and Rodgers have taken bigger beatings the past 2 seasons than Romo.

The fullback has his blame, but could Kyle Kosier's experience and instincts stopped that hit? Holland had his back turned while helping Gurode.
Cory Proctor nearly got Romo killed multiple times.
See Shaun Rodgers plant him in game one, and the Giants run right through him to hurt his back in the same year.
It's not just sacks. It's hits, and Colombo is a turn style in pass protection.
The Steelers QB holds the football forever. Rodgers has taken hits, but he didn't get broken bones and knocked out for the year.
Edit:
Romo was knocked out three games in 2008 due to break downs in pass protection. Two of the past three years, Romo has been injured and was knocked out for good last year.

Hoofbite;3847837 said:I dunno about that. I don't remember hear about either of those guys collapsing in the shower after a game.
On the other hand, they've both been concussed I believe. Concussions are worse than broken bones in the long run.
Romo's definitely taken a beating but I wouldn't say a broken collarbone is any sort of indicator of future injury. Neither is a broken finger.
He does need to start protecting himself at all costs though. He's too important to lose. Completely demoralized the team when he went down.
If you say so.KJJ;3848631 said:You lose ALL credibility because you just twisted everything I said. LOL
I never said Kitna was a major reason for the team turning things around after Garrett's promotion.
I said it was Wades firing, Garrett's promotion and the tongue lashing Jerry gave the players that was the major reason for the turn around.
Kitna certainly played a part in it completing 65.7% of his passes and tossing 16 TD's in 9 starts but I never said he was the major reason.
As for Romo collapsing in the shower I never said it was never mentioned I said I never heard about it but never argued it didn't happen or that it wasn't reported.
Try reading my posts instead of putting your own spin on everything. :toast:
Not true.As for Romo's loss demoralizing the team that lasted for about a half of football the Cowboys went on to play better without him.
You'd likely refer to him as "fragile" or something to that effect if he had. That was 3 years ago and it wasn't anything serious because it never made news.
I certainly didn't hear anything about it and Romo never missed a snap or showed any sign of being injured during the game
Eh. They may have been 1-5 but they were at least being competitive in those games. IIRC they never lost by more than a TD in either game. When you really get right down to it, it wasn't Romo's injury that demoralized the team because they were already demoralized at 1-5.
We somewhat agree. Don't get me wrong, Kitna did fine, but the notion that the team wouldn't have done just as well or better without Romo in there is foolish. QB was never the problem. We beat New Orleans and Philly if we have our starting QB.The team quit on Wade that's what ultimately caused the debacle in GB.
Once candy *** was fired the team started to respond.
The Cowboys were 1-5 with Romo and ended up a better team with Kitna.
Naturally the change in HC played a big part in the improvement but the fact is the team finished much better than it started.
Not this again. We've been over this so many times - the culture of the organization has far more to do with this team's late-season struggles than Tony Romo.No guarantees the Cowboys would have finished strong under Romo because he's only been able to maintain his game once in 5 seasons during Dec/Jan.
AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!! Haven't we spent enough time on this? :bang2:He's not the QB Romo is but he has some qualities that I wish Romo had. He shows leadership and he doesn't let mistakes get him down.
Kitna has some fire in him and Romo could learn some things from him.
Do you normally expect a QB to deliver a SB after only 3 years starting? 2006 doesn't really count for Romo in my opinion. Neither does 2010.KJJ;3848674 said:I'm well aware of what things were like before Romo arrived but there comes a point after a number of years that you expect a player to finally take the next step.

That's really no consolation at all, but when you look at what happened the next 2 1/2 games without him..
