Well DTV has officially announced that they are making NFL ST available to anyone with broadband internet for a cool $350. Up until now, the rumor was that it was only going to be available to people that cannot get DTV. (Not sure how they would enforce that).

I'm pretty tempted to bend over for them and give them the $350 because the whole bootleg streaming thing is so unstable. Those of you that are out of market Cowboys fans know what I'm talking about.

They are claiming HD streaming, but I have my doubts.

At least try and negotiate that price if you can. They'll probably be less flexibible because you're not a DTV subscriber, but doesn't mean they won't budge.

thats crazy was just talkin about this yesterday. Im sure that the preseason package was a dry run to see if they could pull it off. The quality did look great and i was watching the stream of a stream but they did have problems with the san diego broadcast, which would be unacceptable after shelling out 350. But im guessing that it was because it was local and not the nfl programming.

DirecTV can pound sand. I'll take my 45/45 Fios any day and twice on sunday...I'll miss NFL ticket but DirecTV is a ripoff. At least I get amazing high speed internet and non-watered down HD with Fios plus 75% of Cowboys games will probably be nationally televised anyways.

I dont see a large market for this outside of those that simply cant get a dish because of where they live or those over sea's.

Well maybe with more people having access to watching the cowboys online through directv you wont have as hard of a time finding quality streams.

I bought the sunday ticket again this year. I did get a $20 credit for the next year per month. Plus they waived 2 monthly installments. So i did get them to give me some deals.

Its a shame you dont know someone who can get the superfan "to go" package and use their online streams for $50 that they charge subscribers.
It may not be HD but it is a good stream.

I'm going to be checking Veetle this season on see it i could have watched the games for free.

I think you underestimate the amount of people that don't have DTV and really really really want to watch their favorite out of market NFL team.

I think they will make a killing on this.

Too rich for my blood...there are usually only a handful of games not televised in Richmond, VA, and when it happens, I simply enjoy an afternoon at the local sports bar with other fans.

They can go screw themselves. Their streaming is horrible. I have a 24/3 connection and the streaming from the NFL network was horrid. I can stream hidef content from Netflix without any problems.

Directv better knock off $100 and offer a 100% money guarantee before I would even consider this.

For anyone considering getting it that can have a dish why not just get the dish then and save yourself a hefty chuck of change? If anything I'm underestimating the amount of people with half a brain.

That's all you really have to do--find somebody who gets Sunday Ticket and who isn't planning to watch any games online. All you need is their email address and password that they use to log in to their DTV account.

As a former DTV subscriber with a whole brain, there are much better and cheaper options out there.

Going with DTV and getting NFLST would cost me more than what I pay for HD cable and $350 NFLST to go.

^^This^^

Dad's a Bengal fan and watches all their games online via my account. No problems to date with picture quality. He loves it...

NFL Sunday Ticket will never see another dime of my money. I live and die Cowboy football, but if Sunday Ticket was my only option, I'd be dead.

I feel like my head will explode just think of this story.

During our game against the Rams in 2007, the game gets out of hand late in the 3rd Q and they switch it off for much of the nation.

My feed out of Philly gets switched off and there is no other channel carrying the game on Sunday Ticket. I spend the next two hours on the phone(long after the game ended) arguing for a refund

I prob talked to 5 different people and each one got it worse than the last.

I'm paying all this cash for what amounts to two games not televised in my market and they can't even get that right.

Even though I live in Florida they still broadcast a lot of the Cowboys games. When they don't I just go to a sports bar that picks up all the NFL games.

$350 is more than the DirecTV NFLST satellite package. Why would anyone pay more more for internet access only? It makes no sense.

I get most games so I will pass on this and go to Buffalo Wild Wings for the 3-4 games I don't get.
