I thought I was going to puke during all the Quincy/Chad arguments...they both sucked for us.

Now we have to read every freakin' day about the Romo/Henson competition...I just can't take it...they both suck, imo.

I have no more to base my opinion on than anyone else does, but I have the same right to it. In my opinion, anyone who thinks guys in the media like Aikman, etc, are going to come out and say a QB sucks, whether he does or not, is crazy...especially a Cowboys' QB. They also had nice things to say about Quincy/Chad.

My guess is that Henson will eventually become a backup QB somewhere in the league, and when his FA chance comes along, he'll sign with another team that thinks he has potential as a starter. Romo, imo, will be gone from Dallas in another 2 years, max...and when he goes, his best shot is that another team will pick him up for training camp.

I'm just so sick of having such lousy QB's that a natural argument ensues about which one has a chance to be the backup and maybe eventually become a starter. Say what you will about first round, or even 2nd round, QB's. At least when you sign them they are recognized as the guy being grooomed for the future QB of the team, and every other guy is just a guy.

If neither of these guys steps it up this year, I'm just so ready to move on and let one of them go, bring in another bum to back up Bledsoe, and at least have only 1 project QB. That would be the end of these ridiculous diatribes about which bum QB is the future savior of the Cowboys.

Second, what does Laufenberg's performance as an NFL QB have to do with anything? I must have missed the well known fact that all QB evaluators and coaches in the NFL had great NFL careers as quarterbacks.

I also notice how he conveniently didn't have much to say about Troy Aikman's comments.

His take is dead on in my opinion. I havent seen Romo light it up on the field to the point where he is light years ahead of him.

And dont tell me laufenberg doesnt have any bias for this kid because he is basically a right handed version of him. Laufenbergs passes were mostly lob balls.. and his out passes.. forget it.

Romo does the same thing. We might as well sign back Jason Garrett if we are gonna go that route. To be a big time quarterback in this league.. you need a big time arm.

Romo simply doesnt have it.

What's it going to be then, eh?

That is the only way it ends. Or until someone puts their eye out.

Troy was also invited to Henson's workout before we traded for him, and endorsed Henson as a budding star..............wo what does it all mean?

Like I said in an earlier post, there have been numerous reports from the reporters and others who have acutally been at camp and have seen these guys at practice. And the consensus is that Romo is far ahead of Henson. Yet most people on here have seen them play about 1.5 qrts this pre season and can tell that Henson is much better than Romo and Romo sucks.

Who to beleive? The people who are actually there at camp seeing what is happening. Or those who are on a message board who are convinced that because Henson looks like a Star QB and had potential and pedigree.

You decide.

No, the reports I have seen is, other than first week and Half, where Henson was struggling, Romo was said to be clearly better of the two. But several reports kept saying he started look better from later part of 2nd Week.

And it has picked up after last Saturday pre-season game. Now only person I heard in media is there is no question about who is ahead is Babe, who has been No. 1 Romo supporter since probably 2003. Jennifer Floyd Engel, who I trust most among reporters, has been saying Romo was Ahead initially but lately Henson has been doing pretty good himself. Even, Dale, who is pretty non-biased source, never said Romo is clearly better of two QBs from what I could gather from his comments.

Anyway, bottom line, as much I would like Henson to be the guy, I dont have any issues with Romo starting, as long as he is the guy. What I basically would have a issue with is, either Henson or Romo to move on to another team and prove to be stars and we are still stuck with Mediocrity at QB.
Personally I see the chances of Henson being the star better than Romo. I mean really though, lets say both are stars and Romo takes us to couple of SBs and maybe Henson does with another team, than who will care?

Thats the bottom line with all these arguments mostly, except one or two posters who have other agendas.

This is good news. I don't have a favorite horse. I just want the best horse. And at the end of the day I'm just hoping that one of the horses will prove to be a performer.

But I would prefer it to be a young horse....so we can get more than 1 or 2 years of return.

I dont think thats fair about Troy, him asking for Lafluer. He never said that, apparently he worked out both Tony Gonzalez and Lafluer and he said he liked them both. It was just that, Tony was gone way before cowboys had a chance.

Now about Hutch, thats true. I remember there was lot of bickering about it from Quincy fans since Troy said that at that time :D

Now other stuff that might interest people is that Troy thought Joey Harrington would be a star or rather has the tools to be a star in NFL ( now that is still yet to be proven, and I happen to believe Joey Harrington will be pretty good in future, I dont know about star), and last year while Manning was going to start, younger one he said on The Ticket ( local radio in Dallas), that he said he would stake his reputation on Manning being or going to good. He kind of backed off from that statement after Manning played few games.

I like Troy and normally like his analysis and comments. Certainly he is one of the best analysts around, but I always take anyone with a grain of salt. But I hope Troy is right and Romo has abilities to be a good starter in NFL.

Personally, I do think Romo can be decent enough starter, but I believe, if Henson does develop, he has potential to be Star in NFL, based on what I saw of him in College. But you never know with Potential. I just hope whatever decision BP is making, it ends up being great for Cowboys. I just like the Bus Driver, type QB. If that Bus driver is Troy or Tom Brady type, I am all for that but not Trent Dilfer type. Lets hope if Tony Romo ends up being starter he is a Tom Brady and not Trent Dilfer.
Bus drivers don't turn into Indy drivers in the fourth quarter. Tom Brady is no bus driver.

Amen Roshi! I knew there was a reason I liked you

TO be honest, I could care less who leads us to a SB, but to be quite honest, I am hearing more pos than negs about Romo vs. Drew squared.

Am I a Romo fan? Yes certainly. DO I care more about the Boys than a man? Definitely? Do I ask myself silly questions on a message board in the third person? No doubt about that my friends!

Here's a thought, play the next 3 preseason games and find out what we have in our QB's rather than guessing about practices that most of us can't even freakin see. We knew Henson was a project after the baseball fiasco, just like we knew if Romo would succeed it would take time. Give them both that time and see what happens.
