Would a young Bradford be THAT bad?

Now I am no Bradford fan but unless you're talking about injuries than it's not a horrible comparison. Bradford just got hurt so much that he now plays scared, injuries derailed him from becoming a good, consistent QB in this league but he has shown flashes throughout the years of the guy people thought he would be coming into the league.

If Goff does have a lot of Bradford in him BUT he stays healthy...he could be a good player.

I agree with your point that Bradford plays scared but he played scared in College too and not a lot of people picked it up.

OU was a bully back then. They looked like the 5th grader that got held back twice and anytime they got punched back in the mouth they had no plan B.

When Bradford was pressured and didn't have men open he freaked. It was always part of his game and still is today.

I like Wentz much more but he may very well be gone
The biggest worry I have with Goff is the fumbles. He fumbled way to much. And while it seems silly hand size does seem to matter to qb's so that will be something teams will look at
I think Goff is more nfl ready than Wentz I just love the upside of Wentz. Sadly one of these kids is going to have his career destroyed in Cleveland and the other could land in Dallas

Totally agree with this

Reporter to Goff: Are fumbles a concern for you? You had 23 career. Goff: How many last year? Reporter: 4. Goff: That's what I thought.

That's well and good but he has fumbled more than the amount of games he's played
Has he fixed it? Maybe

Do you think he's fixed it
Does one year mean the problem is gone
I don't know. I like a lot of things about Goff but the fumbles do worry me

Honestly, I think he has fixed the issue, he indicated as much to all here at the combine that he specifically worked on and fixed the issue.

Nothing wrong with the criticism, it is fair but we must also look at the most recent results with regard to the issue.

Well that settles it for sure ,it's Goff for me.

Keys to drafting successfully: First see Floaty's breakdown; If negative, see section A; If positive see section B.

Section A: Move player up board significantly.

Section B: Move player down board significantly. Possibly to undraftable status.

No one likes a QB that fumbles but I would hate it even more if a QB has no intelligence, can't read defense, can't anticipate throws or throw accurately...... Fumble is much more of a correctable issue that the other stuff....

No he hasn't. He was the game 1 starter his freshman year and has 37 starts in his collegiate career... He also had an incredibly porous OL leading to more hits than most collegiate QBs.

Been saying I want Goff since November. No reason to abandon ship now. Hope he's the pick. Make it happen Jerry.

He is hands down the best QB in the draft.

If we're able to land him at 4, that's a major win

Let's also not forget his OL wasn't great.

He's been sacked 30, 25, 26 times in his three years at Cal.

Considering he's played 37 games that's a lot of times he's been hit, so you do have to factor that in as well.

Maybe? How much more evidence would you need? The numbers clearly show a significant decline. He and the coaches realized it, they worked on it, and they fixed it.

Those sacks are actually low compared to the pressure he was getting put on him. If he was anything similar to Hackenberg with his vision/timid/lack of mobility, he probably gets sacked another dozen or more times.

Can't say I've seen all his game film, however I've seen him make some pretty good throws where just after he released the ball he got drilled.

Got to be able to do that in the pros no matter how good an OL you've got.
