when they exercize their opinion over and over in threads that have nothing to do with QB then its overkill and trolling oe even in threads that are related to the QB. We have some hard headed folks here. and some folks that think they are right. om BOTH sides of the argument. I personally beileve OP falls into that category. he didnt start this thread to talk about the fine work our QB 1 and and WR1 are doing although Im gald they are. He started to trigger the exact people that came into the thread and acted the way they did. This site allows it so it isnt ever going to stop.

Both sides can be childish as you know what.
Yes...yes I do and I just made a comment about one of them.

No. That's not what I asked. YOU SAID anyone who doesn't agree with me I say they are not a Cowboy fan. You even "quoted" me. So where is the quote at? Of me saying this:

Here is your exact formatted quote:
My theory is most of these guys are Eagle fans pretending to be Cowboy fans. No respectable Cowboy fan would post 100 percent of the time negative stuff about the Cowboys. This is Eagles fans trying to rile this site up. That's typically not a Giants fans MO. Eagles fans are the only ones low enough to do such a thing.
Yiou are calling Cowboys fans not only NOT Cowboys fans, but Eagles fans.

Because they don't see things exactly as you demand them to.

All for the sake of arguing on the internet. Mucking up the board hard.

So I say someone who posts on a COWBOYS BOARD negative posts 100% of the time are Eagles fans and it triggers you?

Romo gets teammates on practice schedule

By The Associated Press
May 10, 2011

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, right, and tight end Jason Witten run drills at the team's headquarters and training facility Friday, April 29, 2011, in Irving, Texas.

<snip>

Quarterback Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys kind of like it that way. For now, at least.

With the lockout keeping NFL teams from their usual offseason practices, Romo has organized a series of workouts that have been attended by more than 40 players.

<snip>

The sessions, which began last week, aren’t just guys hanging out or throwing balls around. They are highly structured, with Romo watching the clock and blowing a whistle at the end of each drill so everyone knows to move on to the next one. There are walkthrough periods and specific plays to be worked on each day.

“It’s literally like we’re doing the same things we’d be doing at an OTA [organized team activity] - the tempoand everything,” Romo said Monday. “I’ve been around it long enough that I have plenty of schedules laying around my house that I’ve been able to use for the time frame. We’re at stretch for seven minutes. Bam, you go right into ‘pat and go.’ We move right into ‘move the ball.’ And guys are going. You jump in and, boom, you’re in the next play. We’re pushing it. ... I can’t imagine other teams going quite to the extent of the team practices, and that’s exciting to us.”

It's spun into a negative...because people can't accept a different viewpoint than theirs. That have to fight and insult about it. "not fans" they said.

....that this kind thing just isn't some impressive massive accomplishment. . It's great. We see them hanging out in the backyard. Cool. It beats smoking crack under the overpass. What do you think people think they SHOULD be doing...other than this.

I don;t deny there may be players who sit on the couch ALL off season. But to show you the illogical emotion of these guys...one member asked for just ONE example of another team doing it...and I promptly showed him. he got mad.

If people would just let others have an opinion different from theirs, it wouldn't be this cluster *****. So concerned that others fawn and drool over every Dak image. Weird.
I am just saying. Look at guys like Cam Newton who think they deserve to be starting. It could be worse. At least QB1 is trying to get better and correct mistakes. Whether that works is yet to be seen. But to criticize him like "well its your job." Technically it isnt. I dont tend to improve at my job when I am on vacation. Do you? That is what I mean. A positive thing the leader of this team is doing with other members of the team is somehow spun into a negative thing makes no sense to me. This board is littered with people looking for things to complain about.

I can promise you one thing. If Mahomes was doing this exact same thing, and Dak got a picture of him fishing for example. He would be getting crucified for it. That is what I mean.

So you think "normal" people dont put in extra unpaid work during off hours?

But of course some people are never satisfied. Edpecially when they see this season after season with little results.

Dak has been putting work in. As a pro athlete....i DO expect it. I would wager a lot do without fanfare.
it would seem we disagree on the matter...and its okay. To me anyway. Im good with my stance and i assume you are good with yours. Done with little insult, id say.

Maybe that was what I was thinking about.

One section that stood out shows why we can't reliably say that practicing with receivers isn't something he regularly did in those off months, just not advertising it because they didn't want anyone trying to watch (and because Romo never was a look-at-me-type player). The only reason the media seemed to know about these practices was because they were large-scale and being held at the team facility.

Players haven’t said when or where they are gathering because they don’t want anyone watching. Why be so secretive?

“It just doesn’t benefit us inany way to be going out there and letting people [watch],” Romo said. “If we run a certain route and the defense busts on a play, and Jason Witten runs up the middle of the field and it looks like someone didn’t cover him, then someone is to blame. ...

“We don’t need that from outside influences right now. It just needs to be about us, and about improvement. I think sometimes when you bring media or people in to talk about it, then it kind of adds [pressure].

“Now all of a sudden, guys would be doing things they probably don’t need to be doing.”

Hey you're entitled to you opinion. I never said normal people dont. Unpaid work during off hours is much different than working on vacation. Which is what Dak is currently on.

Imagine going away with your family to a sunny destination and you are working on getting better at your job or better yet. Working . Your wife would have something to say about that lol.

You glossed over the fact that I brought up if this was Mahomes and Dak was fishing that many would ALSO have an issue with that. Do you agree? If so. That is the double standard I am alluding to.

We have a guy now on vacation in england. Answering questions we have. Working....on vacation. People do it.
And he doesnt even have to maintain pro athlete health.

I didnt "gloss over" anything. I intentionally ignored it. I go by what people actually say.... not speculate and assume to suit my agenda.

Good article and much of the data I’ve seen, but it’s a good reminder. I think Romo was a great QB and one that teams and especially D coordinators had to scheme against. I think he was the biggest weapon for the teams he led. Thanks for sharing.

As for the OP, I don’t really care about the photo because it doesn’t show anything. I can’t stand any social media posts where the poster is trying to highlight themselves “putting in work”. It just always looks packaged telling one of their clingers-on to take a photo of them.

If the photo is part of Dak trying to get better as he stated he needed and wanted to, I think it’s awesome. Whether or not it makes a difference in terms of getting on the same page with his WRs, I applaud him for having a plan and knocking it down block by block assuming this is that. I am not confident in the QB, but I respect him for what I see as someone that will grind and work his tail off, and someone with so much courage to speak out on his depression and his personal and at times excruciating journey.
You're welcome. I'm going to get off the Romo train for now because this thread really shouldn't be about him.

I can understand not being confident about Dak because of the team's failures, just like I could understand some not being confident in Romo for the same reason. I have confidence based on other QBs who have won Super Bowls that we can win one with Prescott if the pieces are all put into place. I'm not at all confident that the Joneses know how to put all the pieces in place (they didn't while we had Romo).

Yeah people worried about job security, and or over achievers. LOL. Dak is neither. Unfortunately.

Oh its not speculation. It happened 2 seasons ago. LOL. Dak was fishing with La'el Collins, and some other QB (honestly cant remember now) was working in the off-season and there were quotes from many here saying "I wish our QB1 cared about football that much" yadda yadda yadda. Its a sad reality.

More assumptions about peoples motivation....to suit your agenda here. Very unbecoming.
Okay so he went fishing. Golfing. Whatever. Thats fine too. I dont control what other people think.
I know....its extremely complicated that its both okay to enjoy personal time off AND not particulary heroic to work out.
