Nope. You are making assumptions about people you don;t know. Drawgin falese conclusions about them as people.

Doing what you criticize other people of doing.

It makes sense. You could just say your piece about the topic but you had to go insult people about it.

"I'm always amazed by all of these sad sacks constantly talking trash about our own players. I'm convinced they were just as miserable and calling Troy, Emmitt, and Mike garbage during the '90s."

I assure you I am not sad nor miserable. I have respect for people that actually have to WORK dam hard day in and day out. What's going on here...isn't that.

Now that DO work hard....have all their lives. Just not here in this case.
I'm pretty sure all of us here work for a living man. Its not exactly uncommon. No need to preach it to us like we're all out of touch. Pro athletes make an order of magnitude more than the average American, but implying they don't work is pretty odd to me. I don't think its exactly a cake walk to make it to the NFL and a lot of these dudes came from tough situations. They're not like some fat cat executive whose daddy just gave them the job (example: Stephen Jones).

I get your point about just ignoring what others are saying if you don't like it, really I should have said nothing, but I just find it weird that so many posters here do nothing but hijack every thread spewing negativity even when it is unwarranted. My comment was not aimed at anyone in particular, including you. I didn't even initially see your comment (even though you appear to have self-identified with the constant negativity crowd).

People that claim professional athletes don't work hard every day are usually just projecting their own insecurities.

You would be incorrect. As you peruse this wonderfully civil thread....you will see that i said dak has always worked hard. Good!

I also said i expect pro athletes to work in the off season. Lot of them do it without fanfare or big tech media.

I said "Most guys" that post negative 100% of the time are Eagles fans.....is that what triggered you? Tell me what I said so we can get to an understanding. No need to insult me.
All I ask for you to be honest about what you said. You made me quote you twice and then changed your wording to boot.
The opposite of "coming to an understanding".
So you asked for no insults then included an insult? You actually think the likes of you can "trigger" me.
Like a brick i tell you.

You made up some imaginary quote and said I said this:

"because they don't see it MY way their aren't fans"

You failed to do this. I let that ride.

I have reiterated numerous times that I said people who post negative 100% of the time about the Cowboys are Eagles fans...this triggered you. Or it didn't. I'm asking you what the issue is and you're talking in circles. This is crazy....

Why do you engage that poster? You know he talks out of both side of his mouth. He has called me an eagle fan and I've been on this forum longer than she has.

It's an exercise in responding to thick-headed trolls that can't even troll right.

I don't expect any results. Just practice.

That almost touched me.
The dude even uses his mother's death to sell Dak Dak Dak Dak.
I'm sure a lot of us here have lost a loved one (and know the pain) but it just hits me the wrong way what inepto fraudo Prescott is doing with his late mother out there.
Then again this dude just tattooed his leg so go figure on sweating pants and what the heck is in his head.

Romo gets teammates on practice schedule

By The Associated Press
May 10, 2011

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, right, and tight end Jason Witten run drills at the team's headquarters and training facility Friday, April 29, 2011, in Irving, Texas.

<snip>

Quarterback Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys kind of like it that way. For now, at least.

With the lockout keeping NFL teams from their usual offseason practices, Romo has organized a series of workouts that have been attended by more than 40 players.

<snip>

The sessions, which began last week, aren’t just guys hanging out or throwing balls around. They are highly structured, with Romo watching the clock and blowing a whistle at the end of each drill so everyone knows to move on to the next one. There are walkthrough periods and specific plays to be worked on each day.

“It’s literally like we’re doing the same things we’d be doing at an OTA [organized team activity] - the tempoand everything,” Romo said Monday. “I’ve been around it long enough that I have plenty of schedules laying around my house that I’ve been able to use for the time frame. We’re at stretch for seven minutes. Bam, you go right into ‘pat and go.’ We move right into ‘move the ball.’ And guys are going. You jump in and, boom, you’re in the next play. We’re pushing it. ... I can’t imagine other teams going quite to the extent of the team practices, and that’s exciting to us.”
