Schemes matter, my friend

Scheme matters but not as much as some here believe.

Take the Patriots for example, we all know whats coming...rubb routes, pick plays..and it still works!!

At the end of the day, execution is more important than schemes and gimmicks.

Just my 2 cents.

It makes a difference if you don't want to have to admit to four 8-8 seasons. Garrett doesn't have a lot to brag about in his time here.
I don't like Garrett either. But I still don't want to lose.

All costs? Grow up newbie. I always play to win. I'd like to play you in poker someday, if you're old enough.
The Eagles had a reason to save their players, but I was pissed when. We didn't play to win the same time last year and it cost us in the playoffs. You play to lose, you will lose!!!

I mean no disrespect , but our team doesn't play to win, (under Garrett and Dak) we play not to lose..

A good scheme with the right players and proper play calling always works.

The greatest coach in the game plays every game to win, doesn't rest his stars, he runs up the score and he instills a winning mentality in the offseason thru the preseason and all the way to the post season

All you whiners have learned nothing from watching Belichick the last 20 years

Most of these losers only watch when we are good!!! That's the problem.

Anything unearned has no value to me.

I don't take "joy" in getting lucky or sucking slightly less than an opponent's second and third stringers.
Right, you only take joy in losing. Gives you ammuniton to come here and ***** ***** *****. That’s what you live for.

I was agitated that we won today worsening the draft status and giving Garret another winning (undeserved) season. After more thought, screw that and screw the Eagles......glad they looked pathetic today

Hey I didn't like it when we sat our starters either, and I agree that it did indeed cost us the playoffs, and it wasn't the 1st time we've made that mistake.
But that's not the point. The point is, a lot of teams do that because they're looking ahead. They're willing to sacrifice a meaningless game for the sake of trying to improve their chances in the playoffs by not risking injuries.
It didn't help the Cowboys when they did that, don't know yet about the eagles.

If we had sat our starters against the eagles like they did, we might've gained an advantage in the draft. To me, that's worth more than a meaningless 6-0 so-called win over the eagle's practice squad.
BTW, you stated "I always play to win".........Well, back when the Cowboys were winning championships, they always played to win as well, but that doesn't mean they didn't lose a few on the way up.

Actually an inept coaching staff gives me all of the "ammunition" that I or anyone else disappointed by failure needs.

But again, congratulations to you on your low standards and tolerance for mediocrity. Enjoy the "big win!"

Happy New Year!

They did lose, but not on purpose. Salud! Happy New year!

I don't blame you Ranching, I love to see the Cowboys win as much as anybody. But if I can appreciate your way of getting there, maybe you could appreciate mine. We both want the Cowboys to win, we're just taking different roads to get there. ;)

And Happy New Year to you also, hope you and yours had a nice Christmas as well.

I been around the Cowboys for a long time. I've met many of them, including Garret and even had a handful of them over too my ranch for a BBQ a few years ago. I am very loyal and just hate to lose. Salud!

I've never been fortunate enough to meet any of them, that would really be cool.

It is cool. My childhood idol, Randy White came down and held three camps for me. Great guy! Did not disappoint.

Randy White is one of the all time greats! Great player and great guy. Does he still have that BBQ restaurant up in Frisco?
