Yeah, use the force!

Use the force alright...as long as it is a certified and mean right or left offensive tackle. Finish the job, Cowboys!

I don't even care if Jones is moved back to the right side, with the right offensive tackle being added. But I'd shoot for someone to start filling the shoes of Erik William's memories.

Do you REALLLLLLLYYYY believe after watching his game and translating that to the nfl that Fournette will be average especially if he has a qb that can actually throw? I know you sd theres a chance but just putting him in the category of avg after what we've seen so far that you would think he cld be avg.. with Dallas do you think Fournette will be avg?

Could be, yes.

Nobody thought Trent Richardson, Darren McFadden, CJ Spiller, or Mark Ingram would be average, but they are. NFL history is full of guys like that: Blair Thomas, Tim Biatkabatuka, Mike Rozier, Curtis Enis, Ron Dayne, Alonzo Highsmith, William Green, DJ Dozier, Lawrence Phillips, Archie Griffin....there are tons of them.

Likewise, Arian Foster went undrafted. The Rawls kid in Seattle looks about as good as anybody but Gurley this year, and Seattle got him in free agency (Dallas like him a lot, too). Priest Holmes did next to nothing in college but was an outstanding pro. Same for Terrell Davis.

For those clamoring for running backs, be very careful with drafting them high.

Recent first round picks before last draft (there were none in 2013 or 2014):

Trent Richardson
Darren McFadden
CJ Spiller
Ryan Matthews
Knowshon Moreno
Jonathan Stewart
Felix Jones
Rashard Mendenhall
Chris Johnson
Adrian Peterson (2008)
Marshawn Lynch (2008, but in Buffalo)

Most running backs are fairly pedestrian in the NFL compared to others. Don't be fooled by college success; there's a good chance that Ezekiel, Henry, Perine, Fournette, etc, could all be just average backs in the NFL once their day arrives.

For the most part, I agree.
However, I would put Fournette in AD's and Gurley's category. IMO AD and Gurley are the best two backs in the league right now. Fournette is a man among boys. To me, it was clear Gurley was absolutely special, and I see Fournette the same way. He's worthy of a top-10 pick when he's eligible (not this year).

I think Derrick Henry looks as good or better than Fournette, as does Samaje Perine.

The problem with Henry is, Alabama is killing him with 40+ carries a game.

Fournette is not eligible for the draft anyway.

I'm a little out of the loop on this but scouts seem to be 50/50 on whether Henry projects. They say he is a great power back but doesn't make enough people miss and that doesn't translate well into the NFL.

Again I don't know but I do know we can't afford to miss on this pick and I would like a bit more consensus.

The last mock I saw from Mcshay had us taking OLB Smith from Notre Dame who I really like.

It's gonna be really fun to follow the draft this year - unfortunately.

I see Fournette as a different level than Henry. Tougher runner, faster, way better cutting ability (a big question on Henry is wiggle/agility, and scouts are very torn on it). Just my opinion, but I doubt Henry will be a 1st rounder whereas Fournette will go top-10 provided he stays healthy next season at LSU.

Fournette hasn't had a good game in a LOOOOOOOOOOONG time.

Perhaps now all the OBJ crowers will zip it up... He looks far worse than Dez has ever looked mentally & physically today. Josh Howard has completely removed OBJ from his body.

People need to stop w/ the idea that patching holes is gonna fix the problem....Romo coming back is not gonna fix the problem. This pig needs to be blown up.....and start over. You do what you have to do to get one of the top 2 QBs coming out of this draft. Lynch or Goff....and start rebuilding from there. People who think Romo is the answer...must have not lived through the Danny White era. Danny got the Cowboys to 3 straight NFC championship games.....but couldn't get over the hump....then slowly faded. Same thing has happened to Romo...3 Straight do or die to make the playoffs....and fail....slow decline thereafter. The sooner we realize the time to rebuild is now....the better off we will be in the long run. Regardless....I do whatever I gotta do to get Lynch and rebuild around him.

You dont think KM is the answer?

I really don't feel there is as much a rebuild for a single off season, as is being projected about site.

The 'rebuild' started the year of the lockout and the offensive line. Myself, I would first complete the rebuild of that very offensive line, with a nasty right tackle up front in this upcoming draft.

1st Round will be Hargreaves III

A guy like Cayleb Jones, the WR from AZ could be a nice addition in the 3rd or 4th round.

Draft defense and lots of it. Having said that I like Stanford TE Cajuste.
