Imagine that!

I know I shouldn't be, but I am shocked that the NFL has not investigated this repeated issue. A multi-billion dollar industry that can't ensure simple communications in a game...unreal. The league just ought to come out and admit that they know the Pats control the signals. Que sera sera

To be fair, it also happened to them once before this year, but that was in London.

And we all know the uniqueness in that situation...

Headset communication issues should be something the league tracks for every game. If a pattern is detected, then investigate the cause. If the cause is technical, that should be easy to determine and correct. If it's not technical, then that leaves only one other possibility, which should also be easy to correct. Never happen, though...wouldn't want to "tarnish the shield" now, would we?

I agree. It's amazing how the league, which has a major problem with the most successful franchise cheating, refuses to just fix the problem.

Even if the Patriots are not messing with the headsets, the perception of this is bad for the league's image and apparently they could only dream for the communication of radio frequencies that we see on construction sites, golf courses and small town police stations.

Ridiculous. And embarrassing.

London is totally different than Gillette. The home team builds the network and in London, your leveraging a stadium you have no real control over as regards the communication set-up. There were dead-spots in the field as well. Rex said it happened throughout the game.

Apparentky, the NFL tried to cover it up as a battery issue. Pay attention to the Bills source at the end:

The NFL, from wha I read, doesn't do anything much other than random spot-checks and leave the maintenance to the team. They just show up on game-day and probably do a basic walk-through. Imagine if the NFL FO actually was more than just a schill organization for the owners.

Allegations against the Patriots happen at crucial times in particular, meaning systematic. Knowing all this, it's pretty clear the NFL QC wouldn't be that great, particularly in light of the Pats.

One would think that the visiting coaches would have submitted complaints on the problem to the league office. I wonder what the responses have been? This is the type of thing that coaches won't air publicly for fear of being fined. The league has taken the stance of simply refusing to publicly acknowledge the issue, knowing that Joe fan/the media will not push it if the league, itself, doesn't.

It's one of those cases where the league knows it's happening and is just choosing to ignore it. Addressing the issue would lead to negative press, which is about the last thing they need these days, fairness be damned.

The Bills have had headset issues in 3 different games this season. And gee, I cannot for the life of me imagine why in the world their headsets may be malfunctioning at such a high rate. Nope, can't think of any reason why communications may be impaired every once in a while.....

Right on cue...
I agree. Your embarrassing post where you jealously whine about the Patriots came right on queue. Feel free to say something intelligent at any time now.... The Bills had issues against the Jets (at home) and they had issues in London.

They have had headset issues in 3 of their past 4 games.... but, gee I can't imagine why in the world the coach's headset might not be working so well..... have no idea whatsoever.....

I'm not shocked. The Patriots are the NFL's favorite team.

I hear ya. I'm just a little surprised that they openly ignore something that is public knowledge. I guess their thinking is that the less they make of it, the less everyone else will, too...and they're right.
