I know I shouldn't be, but I am shocked that the NFL has not investigated this repeated issue. A multi-billion dollar industry that can't ensure simple communications in a game...unreal. The league just ought to come out and admit that they know the Pats control the signals. Que sera sera

They do seem to have an ongoing problem up there in Patsyland don't they?

I agree. Your embarrassing post where you jealously whine about the Patriots came right on queue. Feel free to say something intelligent at any time now.... The Bills had issues against the Jets (at home) and they had issues in London.

They have had headset issues in 3 of their past 4 games.... but, gee I can't imagine why in the world the coach's headset might not be working so well..... have no idea whatsoever.....

Oh Rogah. You're as silly as ever. People hate the Pats not because they're jealous but because they cheat and get away with it. You seriously need to quit with the jealousy stuff. You've been spouting that crap for months now.

But they're very crafty in the way they do it. Comms seem to be an issue against mostly divisional opponents (or outside the division if it affects HFA) in tightly contested games, often late in the game and in critical situations. Easy wins or games against other teams...the headsets seem to work better. That's very peculiar...

If that were true, there would be just as much talk about the Jets (tampering), the Browns (illegal communications) and the Falcons (pumped in crowd noise) in this forum.

But nobody is talking about those teams because there's no jealousy of those teams. Which proves it isn't about cheating, it's about winning.

Don't hate the playa, sweetheart, hate the game.

Within the past month:

Bills communications malfunction against the Jaguars: no one cares.

Bills communications malfunction against the Jets: no one cares.

Bills communications malfunction against the Patriots: people lose their minds due to irrational hatred and jealousy.

You mean they had issues in London? I didn't know that...

Or maybe you just respond as a natural reaction, without reading, everytime you see 'Pats cheating again'..

So London is a home stadium of a particular team?

Exactly. Thank you for proving my point. Headset malfunctions are incredibly common in the NFL and, as you admitted, happen more often than you realize.

People just don't start threads when it happens against the Jets or Jaguars.

I have responded with simple facts. What is it about facts that upset you so much?

Not that I know of, which is totally the point I am making. Headsets malfunctions happen everywhere.

By an amazing coincidence, a malfunction occurred in 3 of the last 4 games to the team with a hot headed coach who slams his headset to the ground in frustration on a regular basis.

Didn't they all get some kind of fine/disciplinary action taken against them?

Is London the same thing as Gillette?

What part of track record don't you understand? Things are quite common at Gillette, where the organization has absolute control over the communication equipment.

Nobody disputes communication issues can happen.. That's a strawmans..

Just like Rex bashes his helmet often, the Pats cheat often..

More irrelevant analogies?

I'm not shocked. The Patriots are the NFL's favorite team.

I don't know about that.

It's pretty clear from reports that they were and Goodell was desperate to protect them when SpyGate happened. A lot of people forget that it was right after the Tim Donaghy scandal in the NBA which at the time, people thought would crush the NBA. So when your best organization in your league that won 3 Super Bowls in 4 years is caught cheating badly, you sweep it under the rug.

I think Goodell trusted the Patriots to not cheat, again since he stuck his neck out for Kraft and had to lie to the other 31 owners in order to make it seem not that bad.

Then the Patriots abused Goodell again with purposely deflating footballs to gain an advantage in terms of lowering their fumble rates.

Goodell felt he owed those 31 owners and couldn't get the job done. And now I think he probably feels he's stuck with the Patriots. The judge basically said 'hey, it's okay to get caught cheating, I will get you off' and there's nothing to prevent the Patriots from cheating any further. Of course, this could have been stopped by simply giving a very stiff penalty to the organization and suspending Belichick for a year (no union to protect him) when SpyGate happened. In fact, he probably could have suspended Belichick after Brady had the footballs deflated...stating that 'ignorance is not an excuse' and Belichick already has SpyGate to his record.

But, none of it happened.

And now you have a commissioner who is powerless against the Patriots and a league that can't afford to have more cheating from the Patriots exposed...so now the commish will have to do the dirty work of covering up any future Patriots transgressions.

You admitted these things happen more often than you realize in other places to other teams.

That's really the point I've made. Thank you for supporting it.

It hurts, doesn't it? I mean really hurts that Brady is playing as well as ever and the Patriots are fumbling less at home this year than last year. I know you were praying they would play poorly to justify all the made-up faux deflategate outrage.

Let go of your anger my friend. Respect greatness, don't fear it.

Well the headsets are made by Bose, which is a MA based company and they did do most of their research and testing at Gillette Stadium. If there was a place where someone would know how to directly interfere with the sideline controller for the team it would probably be there.

Sorry, but cheating is still cheating.

For example, a golfer could play with an undersized golf ball and win a lot of tournaments. And then get caught using that undersized golf ball and then be forced to play with a regulation size golf ball and win more events. The golfer still cheated. Nothing will change that fact.
