Happy we recouped a 4th and added some late day picks.

Wouldve like to have added a FS, but Bing and Simpson are still out there to be had tomorrow.

I don't see how you can say Fasano is an unneeded player. Dallas is wanting to run more double tight end formations. Therefore, they need another good tight end.

If you don't believe we need Fasano then last year you must not have thought we needed Canty or Ratliff since we already had Spears.

Nice pick recoups.

I would like to be sitting here saying we had Eric Winston and Ko Simpson right now, though.

F - We reached on EVERY pick. Carpenter wasn't too bad, but then it seemed to go downhill from there. How can we still be picking LBs, DEs and TEs? What a waste. Oh well.

I guess you need to keep up with our drafts, since ya'll never have more than one or two picks because of your great Free agency management skills!

Very good draft picks at every spot. And most importantly, they are not reaching for players in positions that are so called need positions.

For all the talk about OT being such a big "need" position or saftey being a "FA" that is supposedly such a huge "need".

We are not all that bad at either FS or OT.

On the OL, we have: Flozell Adams, Kyle Kosier, Al Johnson, Marco Rivera, Jason Fabini, Rob Petitti, and Andre Gurode

At saftey we have Roy Williams, and Marcus Coleman with Keith Davis still as a reserve.

Grade:: D

I love Bobby Carpenter, vicious linebacker, he does it all....I underestimated him... he's better than Manny Lawson..
Fasano?? Hatcher??

smh this is a terrible choice

Diffently with Ko Simpson and Pat Watkins on the board.

Max Jean Gillies still on the board, i surely hope if he's there at the 5th round I hope they don't pass up on him with a guy called... Tim Freshaw, FS, California Community College...

You could tell that Bill Parcells drafting... I hope Jeff Ireland and come up with this crap...:bang2: :bang2: :bang2: :bang2: :bang2:

You know what there are still some good OLineman on the board. I want to make sure we get one! Move up and get a tackle or KO tomorrow!

I wish we had lower tham an F,because that is what I what have selected,I am going to give them an F minus. This was a waist of a good saturday.I am thinking maybe one of the woman from the front office did this draft.

Carpenter-I will give him a C on his ability to help the team,as for them selecting him 18,this was a joke

Fasano-I am hopeing he can be a productive long snapper and special team player.I will give him an F on ability to help the team now.Noway he warranted 2nd round draft choice?

The guy nobody heard of-I am giving him an F also

with last years draft being a 10,I give this draft the middle so far, that's somewhere below a one for you people keeping score at home

I agree with the majority. Carpenter was a solid pick but the rest were poor choices. They are solid picks but we have needs elsewhere.

My grade C+

B-

Hatcher wasnt a bad pick but I think there are more glaring needs with talented players to fill them.

Fasano is going to be the best player out of this draft class. I see him and Witten catching 100 balls between them. Another redzone target dont hurt.

Carpenter is tailor made for this team and will be solid for years.

I think we need to move up in the fourth to draft a need spot that we could have filled in 2 or 3.

Grade: B- (ATM)
1st pick: Bobby Carpenter (OLB) - definately the best value we could get at this pick alongside Manny Lawson, we filled a big need and no matter which of the two we drafted i was happy with. so we filled the OLB need with a solid player who knows what hes doing.

2nd pick: Anthony Fasano (TE) - in the chat today people ragged on this pick all day. IMO, it was a solid pick, he is a great player from what i hear "Witten Clone" has been spouted by a few people. this guy really supports this team, he eases the needs of other positions, with him we dont have to worry about another FB, WR is a bit easier since he will take some more reps and this will allow for more rest and less injury. and on top of all of that he provides good depth at the TE position. now lets not forget that we now run a 2TE set so he is going to be seen on the field a lot more thank you think, hes not a starter but hes going to play a lot.

3rd pick: Jason Hatcher (DE) - i dont know much about this guy, but i guess he was the BPA . . .

picks left: 125(4), 150(5), 182(6), 189(6), 211(7), 224(7).

with the picks we have left there are quite a few positions we can address. for instance i see us using the 125th pick on the best OL/FS, and i have a pretty good feeling that pat watkins or ko simpson falls to us down there, its very possible. now with our other 5th rounder i see us taking a whichever we didnt pick OL/FS or a DT if one of our NT prospects that we expected in round 3 is still available lets go for it, and this draft is full of talented Olineman so this may be a good spot for this. and now we have 4 picks left for the 1 of those 3 we didnt address, backup QB, WR, CB. maybe we take fifita in round six . . .

this draft has a lot coming 2morrow, it will be a good second day.
