What do ya'll think.

I would give them a pretty solid B.

Good draft, mostly for depth on both sides of the ball. I love the Carpenter, and Watkins picks. I don't know enough about the others to form an opinion, time will tell.

McQuistin (sp?) is said to have a very nasty demeanor on the field, I hope that's true. But I feel like he is more of a developmental project.

Well folks, its time to weigh in with your opinions. Let her rip!

I give them a C.

That's passing.

It won't get us to the Super Bowl. It'll give us another 8-8 season.

I agree. All the serious need positions were addressed, maybe not with starters, but at least with quality depth, plus players like Green and Carpenter that should make instant impacts to the special teams and 3-4 defense respectively.

Solid B. Carpenter and Fasano will help this year. The others are back-up guys or guys for the future. Very solid draft.

So Eddie this team as gotten 1 game worse this off season??? You are in for a big suprise. You should think about jumping on board with the rest of us believers because it is going to be a fun ride. 8-8 what a joke man.

I would give them a C+. Watkins saves them from C. Last year draft just had a different feel to it as it seemed like Dallas took player after player with huge upside - this year...every player taken looks steady but unspectacular. There wont be many bust in the draft...but I dont expect a pro-bowl player out of this draft.

I would give them a B, a very solid B. I think they did a good job in this draft. Carpenter will start, Fasano will start, Watkins will prob start at some point in the season, Green: this kid is electric on Punt returns, I say at least 2 PR for TD's this year. The rest will provide solid back ups eventual starter types if they make the team.

Typical "happy man" response...:D You need to put the Madden toy away and get back to reality!

I give the draft a solid B.... :star:

I'll say "B" with the potential for a higher grade if the OL plays well.

Holy Jeebus! You beef non-stop for two days, poop on every thread you can find, and then give a passing grade?

Edit: I give us a B.

B-/C+

solid but not a spectacular draft
drafted solid + developmental players
didn't reach for players, but didn't draft any "steals" either

A......they had me at Carpenter!

Picking up the punt returner as well as another starting TE makes this a great draft...3 guys that will make an impact in 2006!

Watkins should also see solid playing time on ST and situational defense.

Overall I give them a B.

1 18 Carpenter, Bobby OLB 6-3 255 Ohio State
A Can step in and start right away

2 53 Fasano, Anthony TE 6-4 258 Notre Dame
C- Injury concern

3 92 Hatcher, Jason DE 6-6 283 Grambling State
B raw talent with a lot of upside

4 125 Green, Skyler WR 5-9 191 Louisiana State
B We really need returner

5 138 Watkins, Pat FS 6-5 212 Florida State
B+ Fills a need and was a great value at this spot

6 182 Stanley, Montavious DT 6-2 314 Louisville
B Again fills a need though maybe a bit raw - will be a great locker room guy

7 211 McQuistan, Pat OT 6-6 315 Weber State
B 7th round developmental guy

7 224 Whitley, E.J. C 6-5 301 Texas Tech
B 7th round developmental guy

I give it an A-.

Carpenter will be a solid player.

Fasano was the correct pick. Best blocking TE out of the first day guys.

Hatcher was a steal. Not a position of need but too good to pass up.

Green's worth an addtional 250+ yards in field postion next year with punt returns alone.

Watkins is physically talented but will take awhile but that's why Coleman was signed.

Stanley will see significant minutes in a NT rotation

And one of the two seventh round OL may make the roster.

This draft went almost exactly position-wise as I predicted it. My only error was thinking they'd add a FB, they drafted a DE instead.
