Er ... no, everyone outside of Mel Kiper has given this draft a C.
If you want to know WHY I'd give us a C, read back through my posts for the past two days.
If you're ready to hand out A's that easily, then I want to be a student in your class.
I've seen B's everywhere... but admittedly, I haven't looked around that much.
And I can't stomach going back through that many of your posts... I'd probably slit my wrists after that much negativity.
If you can't come up with a good reason off the top of your head why you think it's a "C" draft, that's fine.
I'm not handing out an easy A, IMO. A draft that yields three rookie starters and three more that see significant playing time as rookies on a team with playoff hopes, should get an A.
Now, am I correct in saying that three will start and three others will see a lot of action? That is the better question. I feel confident that Carpenter and Fasano will be starters. I also feel confident that Hatcher, Green and Stanley will see a whole lot of action. The only question is Watkins. Will he be a starter by mid season, or will he simply play some in the nickel and dime packages?
Even if I'm wrong and Watkins doesn't start, that still gives us two rookie starters and four rookies who see a whole lot of action. That still might be an A grade.
Are you saying that Carpenter and Fasano won't start? That Stanley, Hatcher, Green and Watkins won't play any? Or won't make the team? If you're saying that, then your C grade makes sense. If you think they will start, play and make the team though... I just don't see where you're getting a C from.
What would an A draft look like for you then?
