1. They gave up two 5th round comp picks and a 2024 6th for above average WR and top tier cornerback. That's an incredibly modest investment and these moves are getting huge raves around the NFL.

2. Not sure people get it, but by using Dallas approach they stayed in position for additional comp picks in 2024. That wouldn't be the case if we'd outright signed big FAs. Very good chance the two comp picks we traded...we'll get right back again next year.
Right now otc projects they will get two 6ths. Hopefully Schultz gets his incentives and that raises one to a 5th.

Dallas has artfully avoided any external FA signings of starting players. Meanwhile two starters depart (Schultz, McGovern). So whether those are 4th, 5th or 6th round comp picks...we should get at least two good comp picks next year. This is now a very strong pattern, year after year.

In every imaginable way Dallas FO is embarrassing its critics here this offseason, up, down and sideways. The funny thing? In their ignorance, I'm not sure they notice how fully they've been undressed.

Right now a B+. Some really nice moves for not much in return. I’m a little nervous on the age of those assets so not an A but that doesn’t mean I’m not happy with those and resigns. I give them credit for cutting a fave Zeke too.

B or B-

Their continual blindness for the DT position is bizarre. They literally haven't met with anyone or been linked to any DT in FA other than chatter about bringing Hankins back and he doesn't appear to want to sign any time soon. What we have on the roster right now is below average.

It's the same thing they do every offseason. If they sign a Robinson or a Ford, then the grade can elevate to a B+ or even an A depending on the draft.

I think people are grading this off season WAY too high....its probably because we always do nothing, that it appears so fantastic. Go get Hopkins and they will have done something.

getting rid of Kellen Moore already put us at a B...the release of Zeke and the signings of Wilson, Gilmore, and Cooks puts us at an A for me

So Cooks doesn’t start game 1? K.

At least an A and probably an A-plus.

And this is just from getting Stephon Gilmore and Brandin Cooks for 5th round comp picks. Dallas also kept Donovan Wilson and LVE cheap, restructured many deals to make them more cap friendly, and did what they had to do with Zeke and not let sentiment get in the way of logic.

I give it a C+ to this point....if Booger would take Chuckles hunting and return alone, I'd upgrade to an A-

If we could get Wagner and Jalen Carter falls to us. I would say we’re the best defense in the league and NFC favourite.

Add Gibbs from Alabama in the 2nd and just wow!

Then A+++. Right now a B+.

That's got nothing to do with it.

Comp picks apply only to free agents, not to traded players like Cooks and Gilmore. Very clever work by Cowboys FO.

Go spend more precious draft picks and $20 mil on another aging receiver, while we are set with 3 good ones....and "we will have done something"

I'm entertained by your nonsense. Please share more.

Little clue: We don't have $20 million in cap space for your pet cat. You've walked way beyond any land of reason.

Yep, this is the first time we've stepped into the realm of going ALL-IN. A DT and go to war....even having Zeke's $10m gives us the opportunity for in-season upgrades depending upon injuries.
Nawwwwwwwwww... you're too young. Jones went "all in" a couple of times in the 90's. It paid off because they won 3 SB's.
