Grade this off season so far!

B+

With both Cooks and Gilmore, there’s a small question mark when they’ll fall off a cliff. But for the prices we paid, both were great trades.

People need to look at something besides sack totals. Hargrave was good....not VERY good, just kinda B good. He was not a good run defender. He knew sacks = money, so he went for them.

You can be a great DTackle, and only get a few sacks....and vice versa you can get a bunch of sacks and just be an OK dLineman.

I'm glad we didn't sign him.
Hargrave was a huge loss for Philly. Why do you think billion dollar franchises pay millions for guys who sack the QB? And millions less for good run stuffers?

Besides, Hargrave wasn’t bad against the run.

Also a B+ for me - love what they have done with the 2 trades and don't need those guys to be all world. Be steady and help teach both sides of the ball, every thing I've read about Gilmore and Cooks says they are masters of their craft and have no problems imparting their knowledge on youngsters - that's huge in of itself.
We are all giddy cause they are actually doing what they should be doing every year, building the roster to fortify what we will do come draft weekend.
That's where the depth players will make the grade rise or fall depending how well the draft works with what they are doing now.
But no doubt about it, it's a most welcome change !

Better than I expected but not as great as some are making it out to be, so far.
They are already in position to be better than the team that won 13 games last year.

Gilmore and Cooks are both high character guys too and are good friends. I saw an interview today on the fan of a media member from Channel 2 in Houston KPRC. The guy raved about what a great guy that Cooks was. The guy not only covered him and the team. He was also his neighbor and said he was great on and off the field.

B, only for signing Wilson. Still haven't done enough to get to the next level. If we're going to win, it'll be Jerry's way, through the draft.

A- would be an A+ if the got Hargrave. But there is still time to make that an A+ if they solidify the DT spot.
This ask is so unrealistic. It’s really not even fair.

Might as well said that it would be an A+ if we traded for Mahomes.

We just didn’t have enough bullets in the gun to get Hargrave unless we didn’t make the Gilmore or Cooks moves, and probably some of the other secondary moves.

As well as taking a risk on Diggs and Lamb. There’s a reason the eagles couldn’t keep him.

Lol. Then they’ll have to get an A-.

They had a comparable offseason in 2020 with the signing of Randall Cobb and Robert Quinn signed to 1 year prove it deals. Then they picked up Michael Bennett in a trade in late October of that year as well.
They all out performed their contract numbers.

On the surface Cooks and Gilmore are at least "quality" FAs as Cobb, Quinn and Bennett were.
Not the washed up or always injured variety we had become used to.

So this year they raised the FA standards from dumpster dive to viable starter.
Credit where credit is due.

B-.. We'll see who we pick up in the draft. We need some help on the Oline.
