Speaking of Romans, we often misuse the word cohort as a buddy, accomplice, conspirator.
A cohort is a Roman military unit.
Correct: The Romans sent a cohort of warriors into Macedonia.
Incorrect: His cohort, BrainPaint, burgled the store, his six fingers on each hand grabbing all the chaw and canned goods.
