Greatest Football names ever (Cowboys and Leaguewide)

It sure helps to have a great name in life. Maybe even more so in sports.

I once thought of changing my name to Paco Vaughn Nordstrom. That would have given me the aura of the friendly guy "Hey Paco" plus the aura of a rich, powerful dude (Vaughn Nordstrom). It would also sound ethnically ambiguous, adding intrigue. I've never had the balls to do it (yet).

But it's amazing that so many football players have unique names. I'm hesitant to included nicknames in this thread, but I think it's a little inevitable we'll hear some before the thread is finished.

My all time favorite name in the NFL was a wide receiver for the Browns in the late 1960s and early 1970s named Fair Hooker. One night when the Browns played on MNF, Don Meredith said: "Isn't Fair Hooker a great name? Fair Hooker....I haven't met one yet."

When I heard the Cowboys had drafted a guy called Shante Carver I thought "now he SOUNDS like a football player!"

Unfortunately he seemingly only sounded like a football player, not much else.

Had the same feeling when they drafted Quincy Carter..he HAD to be better than some dude called, say, Romo for example.
