Not to mention he was a world class sprinter.Yeah you're having revisionist history. Not only was Roy Williams a top 5 pick in the draft but he had some very productive years with some mediocre quarterbacks. Let's don't do that. I get it....you are trying to make Romo look better than he was. But Roy Williams was one of the best receivers in his draft class coming into the league.
Roy's sharp decline here was on Jerry, not Romo. Romo was always weak on slants on crosses. Soooooo, Jerry goes out and gives up major resources on...........................DRUMROLL.....................a slant/cross WR. Seriously, you can't make this crapp up. When Romo was trying to throw to RW, he was all over the place, often throwing at his feet or 20 feet over his head. It was a mess. Very very stupid on Jerry's part.
