Chill bro, I'm sorry I am messing up your precious game. Dang. Just trying to keep Tony around a little longer. Jim Brown has points to give so I thought I would take one of his, calm down.

Believe me, I figured there would be some idiots that'd come in for the sole purpose of messing it up.

I wasn't disappointed.

Earl would have done so much more if he wasnt doubled and tripled team every time

Yeah, not like most other great RBs who only had one guy assigned to tackle them every time they carried the ball. Bunch of damn wimps!

I wasn't intending to mess it up. I believe Dorsett is better than Earl, but Brown has points to give so I took one from him. I understand the concept. And I'm not being a homer.

Not to butt in but if you truly understood the concept of the game then you would be voting differently.

You vote for who you think was the best and the worst of the players on the list. It isn't really a difficult concept but evidently, it is for several here.

If you 'understand the concept' you wouldn't be taking a point from someone just because they have some to give.

It's just not about understanding it, it's implementing it.

First of all, he didn't even play 12 seasons but you're correct, he did break 1000 only eight out of his 10 years w/ Dallas (he did play one season in DEN). Secondly, he retired as the third leading rusher in the NFL, if I'm not mistaken, so that's worthy of HOF consideration in and of itself! Also, don't you realize that playing with a great QB like Staubach (and Danny White for that matter) affects the RBs' amounts of carries? If Gary Hogeboom or some other average guy was his QB while he was in his prime who knows how many yards he would have ended up with! So no, he didn't have the "monster" performances like some of the others, but T.D. played on teams where he didn't have to shoulder the burden of carrying them.

Try reading about it... http://www.nfl.com/players/tonydorsett/profile?id=DOR467199
12 seasons...11 in dallas and 1 in denver. Also, most fans realize that playing with a great QB and passing game actually helps a RB by opening up the lanes, and for a small RB like Tony, that was critical...that's what most find so amazing about Walter Peyton...all the years he toiled on less than stellar teams. BTW, while reading about Tony, you'll realize that he carried the ball much more than most people realize....342 for 1646 in his best ever season...compare that to OJ's 332 for 2003 in his best season. Of course Tony deserves the HOF based on his longevity and total yards...your best argument is his retirement in 3rd place, but there are plenty of backs on the list and off the list who were better, imo.

I think the last poster didn't realize TD was already gone...I think I have the corrected numbers based on ABQ, Thumper, and my own vote...if not, sorry.

At this point, I think Campbell and Dickerson will go pretty quickly, probably both gone today, but man...those last 3 are going to be interesting and could go on for quite a while.

Yes, you edited correctly, thanks.

You're right about the last 3....if it gets to be a stalemate, we could kick in the +1 and -2 scoring. But it's hard to say because we don't know where the people that have voted against the rest will stand on the final 3. Tough decision.
