I'm with Tinky-Winky.

For me, it's got to be Emmitt. From history, I could throw in Staubach and Lilly, knowing their relevance, but being born in 1984 - it just wouldn't be genuine. The Cowboys were Emmitt Smith for me growing up, followed closely by Troy.

Offense:

Staubach

Emmitt

Tony D

Rayfield Wright

Defense:

Bob Lilly

Mel Renfro

Lee Roy Jordon

Chuck Howley

Charles Haley

Harvey Martin

Before there was a Deion Sanders, there was Mel Renfro.

Bob Lilly was a defensive tackle...he did not play offense...

But, you already knew that and just had to much of that "left handed" Dr. Pepper...if you know what I mean?

Emmitt Smith. How could the all time rushing king not be?

Ding Ding, he was amazing for a guy who supposedly didn't have home run speed or wasn't big enough!

After him is a 3 player trifecta of greatness that are just about equal in my esteem.

Bob Lilly
Emmitt Smith
Roger Staubach
i was gonna say that too, but did he ever actually wear a star?
