And just think, the Cincy game was DLaw's first game back. With Irving joining the rotation, we could see some serious pressure vs. Green Bay.

good to hear

the one injury i'm watching closely is for the opposing team, Lacy. If he doesn't practice tomorrow, he could likely be out Sunday
What's going on with Lacy, I know it's a lower leg injury, I saw the play but is there any more news?

Wont know until tomorrow. Ankle i believe. If he cant go, i am much more confident in this game. However, backup Rbs are known to ruin us.

Irving doesn't matter. Our coaches don't have a clue that he is one of our most productive lineman and will just have him on the sideline anyways.
Irving has had a number of missed assignments and incorrect gap fills. It doesnt matter if you get pressure, if you give up big plays as well. You have to be good all the way around, including negative plays.

Based on the few times he has been in the game he has pressured QBs and gotten in the back field on running plays and has that height that is so hard to throw over the top of. Are you a cowboys fan? Watch any of the games?

Yes I watch the game have missed 1 game in over 50 years and yes I am a Cowboys fan. I like the kid but my question do you watch it? He has 1/2 a sack and has played in ample games he gets snaps and if he wants to be a starter then he has to produce more. I hope he does but don't feed me your BS he has done avg nothing more.

Why do you say that? I trust Marinelli will use him accordingly. Last years coaching didn't have a clue. But this year I think they know exactly what their doing.

Last year he did not produce he had a 1/2 a sack and played in all 16 games. Use him accordingly? he has to show more to get more snaps. It is really that simple, I am on Irving's side I want nothing more than him to come in and get sacks as well as pressures. Calling out the coach on a player who has recorded nothing more than a half sack is a stretch.

I meant in the grand scheme of things. He played like 8 snaps in his first game and had more QB pressures than Crawford had all season at DT. Hes just a good player.

Doesn't say much. Pressures are a very misleading stat. A guy could finish the year with 40 pressures but only 4 sacks. Hits on a QB are a different story. Bottom line is that Irving can impact the game more than any defensive end not named Lawrence.

Understood but he's gotta get in on at least the 20 passing downs a game.

He has gotten those ******** one drive out of 4 snaps. And if the defense is only out there for 4-5 plays than he isn't seeing the field much. Gotta get him in there on passing downs.

He was out last game due to injury. He has the entire week to impress the coaches, they will play guys if they feel he is making the impact they are looking for. hell it is Rod defense I think he knows what to expect and it is up to Irving to bust his rear through out the week and on game day. If he does that I can promise you he will get more snaps. Rod does know what he is doing and been doing it long enough you would think would have some fricken clout
