Of course, none of this should be too surprising. It’s normal for rookie quarterbacks to struggle. We’ve seen it with Carson Wentz of the Philadelphia Eagles. But Wentz is asked to do more in the offense with a supporting cast that isn’t on the same level as Dallas’ cast, so his mistakes are magnified. The Cowboys seem to understand Prescott is still a rookie. Against the Giants in particular, Dallas’ passing game was highly schemed to define throws for Prescott, with significant use of bootleg action. That has been the case most of the season, which is smart with a rookie quarterback. Prescott hasn’t been asked to do much progression reading. They didn’t have much of a drop-back passing game against the Giants.

It's nice to hear from folks who know the game.

If he craps the bed against the Bucs, you might want to start some talent the following week and just hope like heck he can stay on the field.
Lol know the game = agrees with risen. Gotcha.

Yes, because Romo has shown he can take a team to the promise land.
Dak hasn't either. That's a ridiculous argument.

SO LIKE I SAID...

If he continues to struggle and it becomes clear we aren't getting anywhere because he is experiencing those rookie struggles and defenses continue to stack the box and daring Dak to beat them downfield and he continues to come up short THEN YOU PUT ROMO IN!!

If under those circumstances some feel like we keep Dak in when we have Romo on the bench, then you have to start wondering why.

Just silly.

I'd love to have a franchise QB I believed in. This guy isn't it. Not by a long shot.

But I apologize for not getting swept up in the nonsense and understand what I'm watching. Dak is along for the ride in an offense schemed to protect him. He's the weak link on an offense that must carry the team if they want to contend for anything.

I'd give him this game to get back to winning. The only reason you would ever start Prescott over Romo is if the team is on some amazing winning streak. Which they were. Lose this game and that dynamic changes. There would no longer be a reason to start an inferior player. I doubt Romo can stay on the field but you might as well roll the dice at that point.

I know the known with Romo. I've seen it for 10 years. He can win 1 game. I'll go with the unknown. Whats he going to do? Be one and done? I've seen that with Romo as well.

Hes had 2 legitimate chances. 07 and he was 1and done. 14 and he won a game.

So, he missed a throw......

He heaved one down field hoping Dez could make a play deep.....

BUT....if I read that article....it states the Giants played GREAT DEFENSE mostly

So, take it for what you want from the narrative of your agenda.....

I said the damn same stuff in my "Over it" post

That's no messiah doing that article.....this armchair QB saw the same stuff

Not exactly revelatory stuff here.

Dak has plenty of improving to do, but on the Beasley route that Dak "couldn't process for some reason", Dak's throwing to the only guy seemingly in single coverage. I fail to see how that's a bad decision, especially under pressure.

What's it going to be then, eh?

Where was it mentioned before?

I know it means a whole lot to you people that there are "links".

But I listen to Cosell each week on Sirius and he has been consistent.

He's been on Ross Tucker's show, every week talking about it.

I realize that will not satisfy you, but I could care less.

That he's a role player and any MVP talk was about as asinine a thought as anything that has ever been stated on a message board.

Ehhhh. That's an opinion of yours. With some merit, but none more than anyone who had him as an MVP candidate. He's definitely not a role player, that's just completely out of the question no matter how the rest of the season plays out

Agreed completely with all of this.

If it's more of the same against the Bucs and the change isn't made for the Lions game, then we aren't going anywhere this season. We'll just have to cross our fingers and pray to the football gods to give us another chance next year.

But it shows why these stats don't tell the real story. The dude was being trumpeted for MVP of the league around here a couple of weeks ago, for crying out loud.

He's a game manager who hasn't managed the game very well lately.

And if his name was Wentz on the back jersey, pretty sure you'd say he was the MVP of the league and not a game manager. Big shock.

Well, a rookie QB have some growing pains in his first year as a starter. Who would've thought?

(this is directed at you OP. Just a generalization on the subject)

Get into the Wentz thing with that dude. Just wait until that clown gets weapons good enough for his fans before we put the light on his ***. They have an excuse now because of his wrs/rbs.

Ya, it's all on the wr's/rbs. They can't catch the ball when Wentz throws it to them. Can't run their routes 'cause Wentz is their qb. Wentz 12 ints is on them, not him.
