Cowboys should've won that game. The refs blew that Demarcus Ware offside penalty when the Cowboys defense got them off the field on 3rd down in the 1st qt. Then Amani Toomer scores a td on a busted assignment and they take a 7-0 lead to start the game.

That was the toughest loss I've ever taken as a Cowboys fan.:banghead:

Dallas was just not playing all that well the last month of 2007. It's not like they all of a sudden fell of the cliff; they lost 2 of their last 3 in the regular season too.

Shoot Patrick crayton escaped Alot of the blame in that game. Always falls back to Romo. He missed a wide open slant over the middle and stopped on another route , make matters worse he was running his mouth before the game

Funny, I just mentioned this same game in another thread ab wanting to play the Giants again. Personally, I really don't care who we play besides Greenbay in the first playoff game. I would enjoy shutting the Gnat fans up and stomping a hole in them at home.

If he doesn't drop that perfect pass, he would still be running. He had nothing but green grass (turf) in front of him. That one haunts me, and I've always hated that the loss gets pinned on Romo and his "Partying".

Agreed, but it should have never come to that.

We scored a total of 76 points against them during the two regular season games...

No reason to be held to 17...

Cowboys should have been in the Super Bowl that season.

I've always said that game was the first volley in officiating warfare against the Cowboys. I can't tell you how many calls the Giants got that day to get them that victory.

the offsides that wasn't
the weak roughing the passer penalty
the wierdest intentional grounding penalty in history
and... I'm not sure the Giants were penalized once with DeMarcus Ware, Greg Ellis and Anthony Spencer taking turns rushing the QB.

That team decided it would run the football vs NYG that day and it did to it's own detriment because in the second half Barber slowed down and drives stalled. Throw in Patrick Crayton multiple miscues, and Terry Glenn's worst play as a pro- no TO- and there you have it.

That game forever sealed Patrick Crayton as #1 on my cowboys poop list. Ugh I need a whisky just thinking about it.

I was thinking of that game and thinking how nice it would be to meet them in the playoffs and turn it around on them this time

Quite possible the very last reason they lost that game.
May have actually helped to get out of town from all the press and hard partying the team was doing.
A slew of them went to LA, another group went to Vegas, a bunch more just stayed home and lived at strip clubs.
They had an off week.
Little partying Romo at the beach with Witten and their girlfriends was very tame....and 2 weeks before the game.

Shoot, Romo even went against Wade's recommendation to stay away from football for a few days and went to VR to review Giants game film before even going to Cabo.
It's all lunacy.

One of the all-time silliest narratives in Dallas cowboy history.

It's like Aikman said; the only bad thing about it was how it looked to some people, not how it affected the game....as it had zero affect on the game.
