Meh. That outrage over that made zero sense. If Romo flies home to Wisconsin, nobody says a damn thing. That would have been a longer flight.

But because some paparazzi ****** in the bushes snaps a photo of him, Witten, and their lady friends, it's considered to be Romo not taking the game seriously.

Anyone with a pea sized brain or better knows you are right. It's the media slurping sheep and ought-right trolls that don't understand the insignificance of it.

Bad loss but not the worst to this long-time fan. Super Bowl 13 and "the catch" are up there but the worst I have ever felt after a game was either the 1983 or the 1984 December losses to the Commanders. Both were nightmare games.

Speaking of nightmares, does anyone have video that the overturned Witten first down catch in the 2006 playoff games against the Seahawks?

TO had gotten hurt against Carolina, and Glenn was just coming back and was in NO condition to even play in that game. Yet we still should have won if Crayton didn't suck.

We wouldn't have won the SB however without TO and Glenn.

I've always said that game was the first volley in officiating warfare against the Cowboys. I can't tell you how many calls the Giants got that day to get them that victory.

the offsides that wasn't
the weak roughing the passer penalty
the wierdest intentional grounding penalty in history
and... I'm not sure the Giants were penalized once with DeMarcus Ware, Greg Ellis and Anthony Spencer taking turns rushing the QB.

That team decided it would run the football vs NYG that day and it did to it's own detriment because in the second half Barber slowed down and drives stalled. Throw in Patrick Crayton multiple miscues, and Terry Glenn's worst play as a pro- no TO- and there you have it.
I actually never liked that we switched up what work well all season. Was Julius hurt or something? Because he should have started the game.

Also.....Jacques Reeves. The name still makes me angry.
Patrick Crayton. If he keeps running and catches the ball, it's 24-14 at the very end of the 3rd quarter. If he catches that ball, that's all she wrote IMO. Because the defense in the 2nd half didn't play all that bad at all.

They lost that game because Wade Philips had no business being the head coach, they were 13-3, that was Bill Parcells team, if Parcells was still the coach I think we probably at the very least get to the SB. Let's see if JG has learned anything about better preparing teams coming off a bye than coach cupcake...

that 2007 team was a waste of great talent. wade phillps was a weak head coach did not help. I blame parcells for quitting to soon. one more year with that team and i really believe they would have went to the superbowl.

Shoot Patrick crayton escaped Alot of the blame in that game. Always falls back to Romo. He missed a wide open slant over the middle and stopped on another route , make matters worse he was running his mouth before the game
You are out of your mind. You can't mention that game without a dog pile on Crayton. And most of those same people think Romo was perfect on the day, which he was not.

I was twelve years old during the 49ers game so I really did not have a heartbreak over it. but when I watched the game ten years later it hit then. I was really frustrated after watching it again when I was older. if pearson would not have been tackled the cowboys could have kicked a fieldgoal and the catch would never have been remembered.

Parcells did not quit, Jerry didn't extend his contract.

well parcells did not put up fight to stay here either. I know that jones just used parcells to get a stadium clean up all of his bad drafts for the previous years but he could have tried harder to get parcells to stay and finish what he started. maybe I am being a little bitter because I really that 2007 had a chance to win it all.

That team is starting to remind me of an old Johnny Sain line: the older these guys get, the better they were when they were younger.

NY was the better team at that point in time, period. What they did after that, and how their defense bottled up a New England offense that shredded Dallas, proved it.

The bigger puzzle should be what happened in 2008.

The things that stand out for me in that game because I rewatched most of it on youtube about a week ago:

We never/hardly took shots down the field. Probably because TO was still hobbled but we had long developing drives.
Ran Barber too much and looking back he probably shouldn't have started that game.
Fasano's dropped TD.
Crayton's drop.
Crayton not finishing his route on the last drive.
Leonard Davis unnecessary roughness penalty toward end of 3rd quarter after we completed a pass for 1st down to Witten. Instead of 1st and 10, penalty made it 2nd and 18, Crayton's drop happens two plays later and we punt the ball back to the Giants and they score the eventual winning TD on the next drive. I feel like this drive could have put a lot of pressure on the Giants with a score which I feel we would have scored at least 3 points to go up 20-14. This play doesn't get enough attention.
Jacques Reeves defensive series at the end of the 1st half after we went up 14-7. We all know about that. No need for explanation.
