"We just didn't feel good about it"

"And when did you get that feeling?"

"Right after he told us he was signing with Dallas".

It seems that Tampa didn't want anyone to know that it was trying to get Hardy, so it wouldn't have to defend its choice if it didn't get him.

Hope they still plan on going d-line heavy in the draft. Can't have enough depth, plus Greg wont be around until October. He's also 1 domestic incident from going away a long time.

not really. 1 year deal gives Dallas ability to franchise him the 2nd year if they wanted.

I don't believe there is anyway that this is a 1 year deal, this is a long term deal with many toll gates along the way. I think the structure is what has taken awhile not the dollars.

IMHO this is probably a 5 or 6 year deal, that if fully realized will be slightly lower then the M. Williams deal.

Somewhere in the neighborhood of 6 year / $90,000,000 , including a $19,000,000 signing bonus, $30,000,000 guaranteed, and an annual average salary of $15,000,000 or so, with many of the heavy dollars later in the contract.

I guess we will see what really happens, but I think this is a long term deal they are negotiating.

D-line heavy? No. They likely need a DT though. They need a RB early. They need help on the back end of that defense. Probably another OT in the middle rounds.

Lots of positions to fill yet. But by signing Hardy, they have opened up their options.
