Hardy still leads the Cowboys in Sacks (4.5)

He would have more if his tackle mate Hayden wasn't getting

on every play.

I think Hardy and Crawford are the only guys showing up to work on that Dline. If we can get others to step their game the Dline would be a force.

This defense has been playing better lately. Yes it is still frustrating and I been critical of it. But if you don't have an offense that can score or have ball control, not many defenses are going to look good.
They held the Pathners to 2 FG's, and a 3rd because of poor field positions. It was only a matter of time before they gave up a TD later in the game.

This game was all on Romo and his 3 picks. Romo reverted to his gunslinger ways of a few years ago. It is as simple as that for this game. 3 ill advised throws. Period.

Romo was just fooled on the first two and got impatient on the third, IMO. So, I guess he went all gunslinger on the third. *shrug*

Which is what he used to do then, get fooled a lot/
No, he was trying to pull something out as in his old ways. They were all on him regardless.

Maybe everyone, and including myself at times, thought Hardy was going to save this team and Defense. Just as people thought Romo's return would save the season.
Hardy is not Super D Man. He cannot do it on his own. But yet he will be used as a scapegoat for each persons own agenda.

If they sign him to a decent deal, i am fine with that. If they move on from him, I am fine with that too. Until he goes to another NFC East team and kills us next year.

I think if we can get team valued good price we should bring him back. When Hardy first came to the team, you could tell he was happy to have an opportunity to start over. He was motivated, he was happy, he was even the most productive defensive player in the first quarter of the year. I believe he felt that he had the support of coaches/FO and that he could reestablish his football career without the noise of his off field issues. Once the pictures came out, everything changed with him. He seemed overwhelmed with having to go through that scrutiny again and the negative press - I mean he even got criticized for having an apologetic tweet. Add to that, it didn't appear that Garrett had his back (big pet peeve of mine about Garrett, NEVER seems to side on the side of his players or stand up for them when it comes to unfair media bashing). IF we sign him before the end of the season and allow the media to go through its faux outrage, it will eventually die down. Once he gets comfortable again assuming he doesn't feel betrayed by the team, I would expect him to elevate his game to what it could be without the distractions.

This my friend is the biggest issue on the Cowboys defense. And it's frustrating to say the least how the guy gets physically dominated by OL weak in and week out and you hardly hear a peep about it. The guy wouldn't make 1/2 the rosters in the league yet our coaches somehow believe he's worthy of starting playing 35-40 snaps a game. It's absurd

I still would want him back next year, but not at top dollar.

I feel the way the Giants won it twice, with great front 4 pressure, is the way to go. Having guys like Hardy, Gregory, Lawrence, Irving, and Crawford getting rotated in and out with competent backups is crucial to winning games late in the year.

Two out of our last three games he's been an absolute no show.

But hey he screams and slaps clip boards with the best of them.

In Garrett's post game presser...they asked him why he was late coming out for the 2nd half...was he hurt?
He said...ya...needed some treatment.....then asked if it was serious....and very deadpanned...said we think he will be fine or something to that effect.

My impression was something else happened and he wasnt happy about it.

Could be me though.

If Hardy hasn't done anything, the rest of the DL became extinct a long time back.

He didn't register sacks, but he was the only motor that kept on chugging and he was the only one that really sniffed the breath of Cam..

And you wonder why Ware disappeared...

Probably was you since we know people see what they want anyway. I hope we bring him back to make people mad at this point personally.

You know we are incompetent when, as the above poster point out, we had expectations that Hardy could be like Romo on defense, while Romo could be Romo as well after an injury, without any help on either side, particularly from coaching..

What people are expecting from Hardy for the defense is the very same thing they are expecting from Romo from the offense.. And the former they are doing it while they expect Hardy to be a good boy, while Ron Rivera will tell his QB to be himself despite the negativity.

Also if we had last year's offense that controlled the clock and kept the defense rested, Hardy would be averaging at least a sack a game. Especially late in the game when the opposing OL is beaten down, which is exactly what we saw against Miami.

It doesn't help he plays next to Hayden at times getting blown off the ball. Everytime I saw Hardy getting close to Cam, nobody was there to clean-up..

I swear I don't understand Marinelli's infatuation with that guy.. Irving was getting his when he was next to Hardy in the limited amount they played next to each other..

And Lawrence is garbage.. If Crawford is taking double teams, then this guy is ISO all day and can't even touch the QB once..

I know we have more things to worry about than Hardy. But, is it just me or has he been an absolute NO SHOW? I was probably one of the few that was excited by his signing. But he has been all talk no walk. I think its time to cut ties with him and let the young guys get some much needed playing time.

On another note I think its time to really start looking at drafting Romo's replacement. I think he has one maybe two years left in him. What a waste of talent. He had a bad game yesterday but he will never get the credit he deserves because we more than likely wont win a SB while he is here :-/ I really hope I am wrong.

Bad publicity and no tackles on Thursday. Not a good deal by Jerra.
