I think we should sign Hardy and have him around for Tony's last year(s), while we still have a chance to get to the playoffs. When Tony is gone and we once-again enter another journeyman quarterback era, our window will be closed for quite a while. However, if Jerry signs Weddle - or someone like him - instead of Hardy, that will be just fine.

I know we have more things to worry about than Hardy. But, is it just me or has he been an absolute NO SHOW? I was probably one of the few that was excited by his signing. But he has been all talk no walk. I think its time to cut ties with him and let the young guys get some much needed playing time.

On another note I think its time to really start looking at drafting Romo's replacement. I think he has one maybe two years left in him. What a waste of talent. He had a bad game yesterday but he will never get the credit he deserves because we more than likely wont win a SB while he is here :-/ I really hope I am wrong.

We straight rush 4 guys all day long, what more do you expect. They can DT him all day and never have to worry about needing anything for the LBs because they aren't coming. This is beyond elementary.

Just posted in another thread that he's done very little since his 2 sacks vs NE in his first start. He's had only 2.5 sacks since and did virtually nothing yesterday. The Cowboys are 1-6 with him and I don't see the team risking the gamble of bringing him back. He's not worth the distraction or trouble that he could potentially bring. We're having a horrible season and his addition hasn't prevented it.

Hardy has made more plays in 4 less games than anyone on that D-line and some of you want to get rid of him.

Has he done enough to risk signing him to a long-term contract and take the gamble that he's not going to do something that causes the team to have to get rid of him? He's made some plays but he's not helping us win games. He's a distraction the Panthers are having their best season in franchise history without him.

If he was helping us win games there would be an argument to keep him and risk any trouble he might bring but at 1-6 with him he's not worth the trouble. He's only had 2.5 sacks in the last 6 games and was practically a no show yesterday. You would have thought he would have been breathing fire facing his old team that got rid of him but he did little.

And only 1 back in interceptions too (1)

That is damning on the rest of this team, but we as fans pick easy targets instead of getting to the real issues. The secondary sucks. When Scandrick went down, we were determined to rely on Carr, Claiborne, Heath, Patmon, a rookie Jones, Church, Wilcox and Corey White. None of them would start on another team. Just like Romo and Dez, Scandrick covered up for many bills in his unit.

Cowboys fans are delusional... The hope in Romo to bail out this offense is the same hope that had in Hardy to bail out the defense.. the exception is a QB has more control over the offense, than a DE has on the defense... So now people want to get rid of Hardy..

If you accepted Ware and his deteriorating play here, by the end of every season, than accept Hardy's and blame other things... I guess Ware was over-rated too..

Dallas played conservative on defense, rushing 4... And Hardy was the only one generating pressure, but Cam escaped because nobody was there to clean up. And his motor is incredible if your actually paying attention. While guys like Hayden were getting stone-walled and simply gave up, Hardy was in pursuit no matter what... This guy gives his all on the field and some of you are so blind to his effort, while these bums give up regularly on plays.

I swear most of you people just are biased, because of your self-righteousness about Hardy's alleged character. If you actually paid attention, he was the only guy doing anything on the line. People make more excuses for Crawford being double-teamed and generating nothing, despite his whopping contract.

And Lawrence hasn't even seen the QB this year.. Maybe you guys can appreciate Spencer now, who at least got in the QBs face... I'd take Spencer all day with Hardy on the other side, then Lawrence right now...

I think I read somewhere that Terrence Williams had more tackles yesterday than Hardy.

When Baby Hands has more tackles than your star defensive end, then your in trouble.

I would let him walk, he is not worth the bad press and PR we are taking for the signing.

No one else the O fears, so all their efforts are on him. Balance is needed, especially when we don' take the ball away.

He nearly had 2-3 sacks yesterday, Cam is elusive.

He was double and triple teamed all day. Kalil was calling out Hardy's position on each play. They made taking him out a priority.

I do think the issue we are seeing on the field is what you get with a massive layoff.

That said, he's not worth the trouble

The Cowboys: the only organization where a dominant pass rusher on other teams can be coached to become next to nothing on its team and still be better than anything else it has.

You can't blame the losing season on him. Romo and Dez being out is why we couldn't win a game. You don't just give up on great pass rusher in their prime. Jerry will structure the contract to where if Hardy messes up they can get out of it.
The Giants are so desperate for some pass rush they brought back a 3 fingered JPP to help the defense. I'm sure the Giants would be happy to sign Hardy next year.
