The idea that the NFL can hand down a bogus 10 game suspension and then offer 6 on appeal when the most they can give is 2 on a conviction and 0 without one is what needs to be settled.

Hardy and the NFLPA need to keep fighting it all the way and if the season approaches they need to fight for an emergency injunction. He is the last player that falls under the old rules so I have no idea why the League is fighting the Courts so hard on this one. There will be plenty more players to make examples of.

It looks like they are going to allow Hardy's defense attorneys to give Goodell's crony the case they were not required in court. I also imagine the blow by blow punishment method will be revisited. The NFL is now showing up NC prosecutors. Maybe they can pay Holder to come in too. Kangaroo court is FUN!

I just hope the NFL respects the court's decision reduces it to 2 games like the other guys and we move on.

The NFL is the entity handling these suspensions. They are the only ones abusing the CBA and are the only ones being discussed. You are making this overly complicated and it is coming off as an "I'm smarter than everyone else" thing despite what your signature claims. My comparisons were valid and easy to comprehend. As far as this debate, I'm done with it.

I am telling you how it is. I have been a service contractor and a homeowner and I understand that dynamic. Just because your job or home is different doesn't make it irrelevant.

The fact that a third corporate party is involved is important. You are only saying I am overcomplicating things. I say you are oversimplifying. Do you not get what I am saying about a HOA? Does it make no sense?

You are right about Goodell's crony.

There is no way Henderson doesn't do exactly what Goodell wants.

He should actually take a page from Kraft's book and know when you are beat.

I understand perfectly fine. Just because I don't agree doesn't mean I don't understand. I find it unimportant to any and all comparisons I made and the 3rd party was also irrelevant to my points. Like I said, done with this discussion. The last word is yours. Good day to you.

What happens regarding his suspension may not even matter. He needs to get out from under the exempt list.

The notion that the NFL can do a better job than the legal system is insulting and ludicrous at face value. The legal system is far from perfect but I have more faith in it than the NFL.

I agree. Why wait until the charges were dropped if they were doing their own investigation. This could have been done last summer after the bench trial.

Exactly! Why wait for the trial to finish if they're just going to disregard the results if it doesn't suit their agenda.

Is there any chance this appeal will work and he won't have to go before a judge to get this cleared up? Even if the league wanted to just offer him 4 games to make this go away, people would be up in arms by the mere suggestion of that.

Its a good question. The NFL really wants good PR, even though they are really really bad at it. But since they want it, I assume that Henderson will keep the 10 games or maybe reduce to 8.

Then they go to court.

So yea... basically Henderson stands to gain nothing unless he reduces it to 2 (what Hardy says he will agree to) to 4 (what Hardy would probably actually agree too) games which he can't do because of the ****storm that would hit league offices if he tried to do that... it seems to me they should skip this step entirely as it almost never works (but then again it will probably work for Brady)

Doesn't Hardy get to prepare a defense when he meets with Goodell?

What time is Goodell denying the appeal?

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. One part of me was excited about finally getting to the appeal date but I'd be blown away if it gets reduced to 2-4 games today. Will we even hear news today anyways in the off chance he does win?

I'm just glad this step is being finished. It allows the paperwork to be filed to the courts and means that step is closer to being resolved.

Maybe this is how the appeal ends

It won't work for Brady. While he will likely win in a court of law, he would have to turn over phone records which could be damning
