I’m not saying that one QB is better than the other, but Dak has had the benefit of being in a stable system with KM for several years with a good OL and legitimate weapons, while DJ went through a couple coordinators/coaches with a shoddy OL and a lack of skilled playmakers, other than a post-ACL Barkley. So clearly that has an impact to the disparity in records.

Lol how is Daks stable he plays for the Cowboys lol. He’s had over 4 different play callers and qb coaches lol. Hell Giants determined one year of Garrett was enough. Dak had more than half of his career with the guy lol.

I think Dak is better than Jones too, I just don't think the gap is that wide. How many less wins do we have if Jones was our QB last year? I think we're still around 11-12 wins.

I'd take Jones on a rookie contract over Dak at 40-50 million a year.
That says nothing though. Id take any good qb on a rookie deal over a good one at 40 million except Mahomes.

This is what happens when you play the way Dak did against the 49ers. And its not like "Top 10" means what it used to a decade or so ago.

A decade ago? It was worse. You had guys like Romo and Matt Schaub in the top 10. People thought Matt Schaub was good at one point lol.

I’ve never cared for the top 10 qb argument because there are about 15-20 quarterbacks that you could make an argument for to be on that list depending on the criteria you want to use.

I think you have a few obvious ones that belong in mahomes, burrow, Allen.

After that you can pretty much pick the next 12ish names out of a hat and make a really good argument for nearly any order they come out in.

We are in a fascinating time in the nfl where we have an abundance of decent to good QBs, and very few excellent qbs.

I am just saying it’s either a team sport or not. Dak doesn’t always beat the Giants the Cowboys do.
Well let’s not be naive here. When the Cowboys had bad records against winning teams it was on Dak. When he wins it’s a team game. It depends on who’s having the argument and what the argument is. We know this lol. It’s 2023. We can finally admit there’s a anti-Dak crowd and a pro Dak crowd and neither side will agree.

I honestly think this is the most talented the position has been but analytics have ruined a lot of these guys.

Stephen A wouldn’t have a career if not for his cowboy baiting sound bites.

Btw…Jones stinks
I agree. He probably paved the way for it. Nobody has done it better. Not many analysts had the nuts to say they have a fan base and then use them for clicks and viewership. Then bums followed suit. By no means am I propping him up for that but unfortunately he did do it smh.

I'm not so sure about that. Will be interesting to see what Jones does in year 2 with stable coaching.
Is anyone going to acknowledge that he is the reason for the unstable coaching to begin with lol? And can we also acknowledge last season his receivers were Toney, Slayton, Sheperd and Golladay? Sterling got hurt and Toney got traded and Golladay just couldn’t play with the guy.

So when it's Jones, the QB is the reason the coaches get fired. When it's Dak, the coaches are the problem. Interesting how that works :)
