To me comparing Daniel Jones to Dak last year when he got hurt is like comparing Michael Gallup to Noah Brown. Sure Noah Brown had better stats but gotta put some context in there. Gallup was battling from a injury just like Dak was. Dak had a down year. We're comparing Dak at his worse to Daniel Jones at his best and quite frankly I'd still take Dak. The offense was still producing at a elite clip even with Dak's turnovers. Let's also be honest on what Dak did last year. He threw picks. Picks are bad. I get it. You take those picks away and its not a bad season. HE had a bad season for his standard because of the picks. This wasn't a Jameis Winston 30 TD's 30 interception season.

PERFECT comparison. Its laughable.

We'll see. But as the team is getting better, he's looking better. How'd Dak look without WRs in 2018? Then they got Cooper, and Dak got better? How Tua look before Hill and Waddle? A lot of this is coaching and the team around you. Sure, there are crap QBs that no one can help, but I don't think Jones is one of them.

That's the thing though....Daniel Jones hasn't had a terrible group. Maybe I overrated them but I had Giants making the playoffs because they had Toney, Golladay, Slayton and Sheperd.....nevermind Barkley. Then the year prior had Evan Engram, Golladay, Slayton......Golladay was well respected until he got to NY. A guy known for having a good catch radius can't even catch balls?

I don't think Jones is bad. As I said above I looked at him as a guy who had a good season. A lot of those guys were there last season.....Geno, Goff, Daniel....to me these guys were great because we expected NOTHING. But if we start raising the bar? I feel we will be let down more than not.

by Phil who wound up nfc champ.
Dallas beat a lesser team in TB in WC then lost to SF who got trounced by Phil. Even if purdy doesnt get hurt, I think

Judging by results, giants were 3rd best team in playoffs.

I'm a realist here when it comes to this whole Dak discussion. Not a troll or whatever. If you sat here and told me you don't like Dak or Dak sucks....you wouldn't get an argument from me. I can only be so realistic about this discussion and there is absolutely no comparison to Dak and Daniel Jones careers to this point. We complain about Dak not getting further in the playoffs. Daniel Jones can't even get to the playoffs until this year.

You're kind of all over the place and I'm not sure what your point or points are. I don't think we are going to get anywhere if you think Dak and Jones are that different so far in their careers. Yes Dak has a lot of regular season stats that mean exactly nothing (to me, maybe not to you) and back to back choke jobs in the playoffs, and a losing record in the playoffs. I wouldn't take either guy, but at least Jones appears to be getting better, has a better record than Dak in the playoffs, and won a road playoff game as an underdog last year. Dak seems like he is actually getting worse not better, and he was always fairly limited to begin with.

Doesn't matter he is not Dak therefore there is a very vocal group here that will make the case....I agree Dak is not elite until he actually plays like it in late playoff rounds....but propping up Daniel Jones just makes some look silly. Jones has had crappy teams and terrible HC's but Dak hasn't? Dak was asked to win with Garrett. If Daniel Jones had crappy teams it was because of him. He played next to some well respect guys like Saquon Barkley, Evan Engram, Golladay, etc.

Let me just say is that I know how you feel about Dak....but its refreshing when even a anti-Dk guy can step in and be honest. No matter what side of the argument you are on.....no NFL fan can sit here and hype up Daniel Jones. Its insane. There's no argument and this whole argument he's "getting better" is a joke lol. I posted stats for all of the 2022 season. Not just 12 games. Dak played in 14 games. Daniel Jones played in 14 as well. Are you upset this morning?

Daniel Jones played in 16 regular season games whereas Dak played in 12. The stats for Dak posted were his regular season games.....so you were wrong with the QB Rating stats and you are wrong in games played. Have a nice day.
