If we miss the playoffs after starting 6-1, Garrett should not even bother getting on the plane in Washington. No way in hell Jerry could give him an extension after an epic collapse like that. In the 55 year history of the franchise, no team that started 6-1 or better failed to make the playoffs.

We are talking the biggest choke job in franchise history, you think Jerry can call a press conference and announce a new deal for Garrett after that?

If you watch his show on NFL.com you can tell that like his mentor Florio, Rosenthal is very Beltway/Midwest biased. I pay attention to him about as much as I do with the MNF and Countdown folks.

Oh, but the Red homers already have the excuses ready. Romo's back. Injuries. Lack of depth and the Process is still in the works just needing a lil more time. It was a brilliant coaching job getting this defense to over achieve (even if it collapses) and that is proof of Coach Wonder's brilliance, etc. We could finish 6-10 and the Red homers would be tooting his horn and calling for a 10 year contract.

You honestly think that what I posted wouldnt happen if we finished 6-10? I can tell you right now that I do NOT have enough imagination to make the predictable rhetoric up. Even if I did I wouldnt have to make it up. You know why? Because its all been posted here on this forum. ALL of it.

So maybe you oughta be asking whats wrong with the homers, rather than asking me. Are you denying that the homer crowd exists? I know you wouldnt do that because they have been posting with more frequency with our record so far.

I simply replied to a post and what I posted is SPOT ON. I know it. You know it. And the vast majority of posters here know it.

I don't put people in categories nor label them as life is both too simple and too complicated for that. Nor do I mind read. I suggest you and others stop with the homer stuff now as it is beyond old. Post as you please within the guidelines but let's try and leave off the name calling even if it is indirect.

My view is that no matter what happens the remainder of this year, JJ and JG will strengthen the defense (as much as can be done in one offseason) which should put us in contending shape next year. Of course, Tony has to stay healthy.

I'm sorry, this is about as nonsensical a post as I've ever seen.... you mean this team that was picked by most to be sub .500 could finish with 10 or 11 wins, but because they miss the playoffs it would be a "choke job" and Garrett should be out? What ignorance.

After a PM with @WPBCowboysFan I want to clarify why we don't like those kinds of posts.

Calling people a name is derogatory and even if indirect it often leads to comments from others. This in turn distracts from the thread as these 'conversations' are OT and generally devolve into multiple people responding. The original topic is often lost for good and many who would comment leave as they don't want to be involved for various reasons.

When you label someone you demonize them and all fair debate is out the door whether or not it is intentional or even not directed at a single person. It's worse to direct it at a broad swath of posters actually.

I think dallas matches up quite well with Philly. really doubt Philly sweeps us. I think dallas can get to 10 wins and that will most likely be enough for a wildcard. Wouldn't be surprised if dallas got to 11 wins, I think that would win the division.
