I tend to. But then I still want the guy I"m rooting for benched if he can't earn the reps. Obviously, any argument about who to start, or any criticism of a starter's play is based on production. But it's more fun to watch a team like the one we've got right now, where I like almost all of the current players for the most part than it is to watch a team with Terrell Owens or Pacman Jones or Deion Sanders in the lineup. That's one of the bigger reasons I'm actually bummed about Murray leaving and getting possibly replaced by Randle. Murray's an easy guy to root for. Randle, not so much.

I don't see how being a fan of individual players and being a fan of the team in general would be mutually exclusive. I feel like we get to know some of these guys over the years and its easy to want to root for them as individuals. Of course not at the expense of the team, but root for them nonetheless. If Romo or Dez was to end up on another team(other than a division rival, I would still hope they have productive careers and success, just not at the expense of this team.

For that matter, I'm a fan of many players around the league. Antonio Brown, Arian Foster, Steve Smith to name a few. Rooting for this team doesn’t preclude rooting for individuals. What fun is it to root for a team of you really have no vested interest in the players that compose the team.

If Street can be more productive than Williams has been, why would I care? I'm not a Terrance Williams fan, I'm a Cowboys fan. What individual players do doesn't matter to me at all, as long as the team wins.

I agree with this with the exception of Tony Romo. After all the criticism hes endured over the years (sometimes the criticism is justified), I dont want any other player QBing this team. Then again, after last season, I dont see many other QBs in the league that would be an upgrade at that position for us other than maybe Rodgers...

Antonio brown is about as unlikeable as could be as far as personality goes.
