Well, I apologize to anybody here who has a Cowboys tattoo. It's great that people love their teams. For me, I think it's like tattooing your name on your body someplace, but I know there are a lot of people who love their teams and love their tats.
Laugh now, But when your old with dementia and get lost wandering around downtown that could be a life saver

I hired a guy once who, as a teenager, tattooed his name--upside down, so he could read it--on his thigh. Whenever we'd take him to trade shows we'd right his name upside down on his name tag when he was working the booth just so we'd get a chance to tell the story.

It'll be a life saver for him one day when he's old. If he's wearing shorts.

My first thought is "dumbarse", but I admire his passion

At least he's willing to go somewhat out on a limb with his confidence and passion. When people are willing to risk ridicule by being bold and brash, I'm reminded of a line in the Theodore Roosevelt "Man In the Arena" speech:
...and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat.

Maybe a little over the top, but the principle is the same...

People are making this in to a big deal. I'm sure he is just grateful for the Cowboys to give him a chance and he'll always know that his NFL journey started with us. He can always add on to it but hopefully he ends his career here so it means that much more. I guess everyone is just bored and need some exaggeration in their life. 4 more days till rookie mini camp. Hold your estrogen.

Watching that video of us selecting Martin instead of Manziel and I'm still surprised at just how much freakout there was going on when we didn't select Manziel. Just listen to that room and the analysts on NFLN.

Yeah I think so too. Im wondering how Dez is going to get a long with B Jones...for some reason I see Dez going off on him. B Jones better be tough because u know Dez is gonna bring it

Actually a tattoo makes more sense for a fan because we tend to keep our allegiance forever. Players never know what their futures hold. I love his enthusiasm though

Same here, even if it seems a little exaggerated.

Yeah, but the connection of a player to a team is stronger than the connection of a fan to a team. For a player, things could end badly and you could end up regretting it, but in most cases, you'd probably have a lot of great memories associated with that first pro team and that first pro contract. Just making that first NFL team and probably securing your future is probably reason enough to comemmorate it, right?

You can say it's stronger, and I get that. But in all honesty after being a fan for 25 years and reading about this team on an almost daily basis I'd have to say there is a pretty strong connection here. In fact almost a feeling of nostalgia, reminding me of watching games with my dad and buddies and throwing the ball at half time and even certain points in my life. Unlike players my love for this team is forever and unconditional.

What makes you think so? He is big enough and strong enough to have a serious battle one on one with Dez. Plus he is probably the only corner in the league that can out jump Dez.

Pretty easy to change a tattoo to something different. And I don't care if he is as crazy as a stomped ant, as long as he brings it on game day.

Crazy do not bother me. it is the criminal element on the team that bother me.
