when is he eligible to play again?

Do you think he will ever play again?

How would you say he did play last year?

Thanks

He looked good in the season finale..I think he had like 7 tackles, 2 tfl, & a sack. I think he would have helped out a lot against Green Bay in the playoffs. I think he will eligible to come back just before the playoffs. I hope he does.

Re: If he will ever play again

It's probably best to forget about him. Not the man, but whoever you thought he was going to be on the football field. If he comes around he comes around, I'm not banking on him or any other DE this team has drafted this decade.

If memory serves me correct ( and that is debatable because I am getting old) it is a year suspension so he should be eligible in Jan 2018. Just in time for the playoffs and a Super Bowl run

He looked rusty and honestly out of shape.
He was getting pressure on the ball and showed great athleticism.

I actually felt good about his potential...

Will be ever play again?
If he stays clean this entire year and is able to come back this time I will say it's a good sign. He's being tested so often now...

He is eligible to request reinstatement in Jan 2018. The league is likely to "consider" the request for a couple of months (like Oakland's Aldon Smith; eligible Nov 2016, still waiting), so likely not until off season camps for 2018 season.

I'm convinced (though can't ever prove it) if Gregory had stayed off the pot, we would have been in the Super Bowl.
Having said that, I'll answer the questions:
1. Jan 2018, I think.
2. No, sadly, I don't he plays another down for us. :(
3. I thought he did well in the Eagles game. He was rusty, but he showed a speed dimension we just don't have on our defensive front.

I still think they appeal to get his suspension reduced. The hearing at the end of the season was just to delay his current suspension until after the playoffs, which was denied. Both Jerry and Stephen have made comments about revisiting the issue this off-season.

If he truly was at a rehab center when he missed his drug test (missed drug test equals a failed drug test) that definitely seems like something the team and players' union would fight. Unless of course that whole story is made-up.

He can apply for reinstatement in January of 2018...........probably will not be reinstated in time for the playoffs (assuming we make the playoffs). Thus, don't look for him until the OTAs of 2018.

By then, he will have basically missed two entire seasons so I have very little hope that he will turn into anything for us. Best to just forget he was ever on the team and draft accordingly. Anything we get from him in the future will be gravy at this point.

And another 2nd round pick flushed down the crapper. I swear, this team pisses away 2nd round picks like they are skittles:facepalm:

Don't expect anything.

Just be happy if we actually can get him on the field cause I don't figure Jerry will let him go.

No reason to really. I, for one, want to see him play.

Eligible to request reinstatement back into the league Jan 2018, but it won't happen without Jerry's blessing. Jerry has enough influence in the league to make it happen. So best case scenario look for Gregory in training camp 2018, worst case... never again.
