I don't agree with this approach. I love the player, but he shouldn't be rushed. If Romo gets injured, we're still looking at Kellen Moore being the primary backup. Dak needs to be set up to succeed, and throwing him to the wolves is (in my opinion) not the best way to go about that.

I would agree with that, if not for the fact that we have a great o-line, great RB, and great WR next to him, that means he should be able to at least have decent games.

Neither was Parcells

Jerry was desperate for a new stadium at that time and needed Parcells to fix the team. Hard to get support for a new stadium with a 5-11 team. They still butted heads a few times but Jerry needed him and gave him some leeway. Jerry doesn't need Gruden.

And he is not leaving his cushy job. Also, imo he is on the tad bit overrated side.

Gruden did win a Super Bowl with Brad Johnson as his QB. He did develop an average QB like Rich Gannon into a solid QB who went on to have an MVP year. Gruden is very good with QBs and has a good eye for QB talent. He was raving about Russell Wilson during the 2012 draft and said 2-3 years ago that some team should offer Washington a #2 for Cousins because he felt he would be a solid starting NFL QB.

Brian Billick won with Trent Dilfer too. Rich Gannon was a good QB prior to Chucky. Tampa Bay just like Baltimore didn't win their super bowls because of QB play but in spite of QB play. Gruden gives pretty much all of the QBs that came on his pre-draft show praise. We will have to agree to disagree about Gruden because just like Barry Switzer, he was in the right place at the right time for his super bowl victory.

The Raiders were Gannon's 4th team he was a journeyman who established himself under Gruden. Hard to win a SB in spite of a QB. Gruden gives praise to all the QBs on his draft show because he's there to encourage them. I'm sure it's not that way when the cameras are off and he's coaching a QB. He gushed over Russell Wilson during the 2012 draft I actually rolled my eyes listening to him but he was dead on!

I wouldn't compare Gruden's situation in Tampa with Switzers situation in Dallas. The Bucs may have had a good team when Gruden arrived but they weren't coming off back to back SB wins like the team Switzer was handed. The Bucs had never won a championship in their history until Gruden took over. All I'm saying is I respect his eye for judging QB talent.

Jerry's desperation for another SB may reach its peak soon ...... he is 73 years old

I am not condoning the actions by any means. A DUI is never ok. But, putting myself in his shoes, I can see why he might have made the poor choice he did. This kid, yes...kid, has been through a lot. I am rooting for his success, for multiple reasons now. :star:

Is that a tattoo along his lower neck? I'm not a fan of tattoos on quarterbacks. Has a tattooed quarterback ever won a Super Bowl? I'm asking seriously.

No. It's a well known fact that the ink in tattoos interacts with an enzyme found in the rotator cuff causing inflammation that limits the arm movement quarterbacks need to win a Super Bowl. It's been studied and published in several medical journals.

Well I think we can safely say Cam Newton and Colin Kapernick didn't lose their super bowls due to tattoos.

SMH what difference does it make whether he has tattoos or not if he can come in and win games that is all that matters.

It's a matter of judgement, one of the most important characteristics of a good quarterback. Hope I'm wrong.

Let's hope Dak wears his baseball cap bills forward only, the way Landry intended.
