When does preseason start again... can't wait to see this guy behind an NFL center against NFL players. With Romo's history and Prescott's likelyhood of being called upon at some time this year, I would say it might be a good idea to give him a couple of drives every game with the 1st stringers.

I've been clammoring for Dak for awhile now. Even taking heat from other posters that say he sucks. I live here in Mississippi and have seen a lot of him. He might not be the prototypical QB like Romo, but the dude has the intangibles, the heart, and motivation to be the best. And personally, that's a great foundation to work with.. And Just like Romo, most will doubt him, which will only drive him more. Great value pick.

I wonder what Garrett's ideal QB is post-Romo. With Showers and Prescott, seems like there's a desire to be a little more dual threat than I think we expected, but then he's got a pure thrower in Moore. Or perhaps this is indicative of no real preference or philosophy.
I think a QB prospect that's highly coachable and can keep his eyes downfield when there's pressure is a pretty good start for developing someone. He's a better start than McGee already. He has a lot of traits worth developing. He throws too slow in the above video.

If he ends up backing Romo at some point this year, he'll probably get all those Wednesday practices that Romo sits out.

I don't agree with this approach. I love the player, but he shouldn't be rushed. If Romo gets injured, we're still looking at Kellen Moore being the primary backup. Dak needs to be set up to succeed, and throwing him to the wolves is (in my opinion) not the best way to go about that.
