Takk. Burst and motor that can't be taught. Marinelli is a master technician so I think he can coach Takk up to use his long arms for leverage.

Take them both. Either Harris or Takk would be ok with me. It sounds like Harris just might be there at 28.??

I think Harris might be more battle ready.

I'll agree that Harris is more prepared and ready to contribute immediately but no pass rusher will be available at 28 that will be able to be an immediate 8-10+ sack guy. These are 4 (5 if option is picked up) year contracts, and Takk has far greater upside.

I've seen back and forth contention about these two guys that will likely be there at 28 and our FO likely pulling the trigger on one of these "Baby War Daddies". Whether or not we are picking them at 28 or falling back into the early 2nd round....who would you take? Basically, there are no other choices and you're doing the pepsi challenge (aka: choose A or B).

And no, you can't pull the trigger and blow your brains out. Give a vote and, if you care to, add a small snippet on why that is. Please and thank you.
Harris because of length and he's gotten better each year... + you can have him drop about 10 lbs and he will pick up some of that 1st step quickness, with Takk he's more of a LB size will need more weight room time and whos to say all that extra weight is not going to cause him to loose speed or get injured in process.

Harris weighed in at the combine at 6'3 253 pounds, Takk at 6'2 250. You think Harris can lose 10 pounds but are concerned with Takk's size?

Takk easy.

He looks every bit as fast as his 4.59 unlike Tapper. He has the production to warrant an early round pick, and an effort level that Marinelli demands as a prequisite for playing time.

Takk's arms are 2 1/2" longer

Takk, still an ascending player at UCLA, I think Harris tops out in the 6-8 sack a year range in the NFL.

It's an even 4-4 with another dude (FuzzyL) choosing between pee-pee and poo-poo. Like I said, don't leverage the 28th pick into your decision...this is just to gather a consensus between the two most common DEs being bounced around that are available to Dallas.

Your thought experiment is not real to me. Every selection is associated with a pick. I would not pick either of those two anywhere in the top 64 picks. And if they are still there the there is almost certainly going to be a CB, S, WR, TE, or OL that can help us and be better value.

Those aren't the two most common that I have seen. I'd rather have Taco too. He is in many more mock drafts that I have seen.

Unless his surgery corrects this, McKinley does not use his long arms very well.

It is almost like he has little to no use for them when engaging a blocker. Like an armless trunk rushing the passer.

I have had enough of "potential" at pass rusher. I would rather consider the player who has been productive and has some clubs in his bag already. That would be Harris, but he has serious issues holding up if blocked head on.

If a gun is involved, picking between these two would be tremendously unfair.

Harris played in 12 games this year and in 9 out of those 12 he had 1.5 sacks and 2.5 TFL....not exactly the guy I'd be drafting based on production
