Gurley highlights Jaylon looks horrible

Mabey this is the problem?

He looks terrible on every play. Gets pushed around easily, has no burst to get to where he needs to get to and the few times he was at the right place at the right time he can't finish the play. I was a huge supporter but it's not looking good.

He looks horrible in that video

I just watched the game again. I'm torally drinking the Jaylon kool-aid, but that game was brutal. All defensive players look bad from time to time if you cherry pick plays. But J had a ton of awful plays, and basically no get ones.

Oh, and we need a big fat one tech who won't be on the injury report every week. Cmon Jerry, overrule Rod and let Will find someone.

Actually if anybody looks the game again the ones who got destroyed were the DE's and DTs. The Rams running game adjustment in the 2nd half was brilliant. Run at the DE's, let them take themselves out of the play with their aggressiveness upfield, wall off the DTs, match up an uncover guard one on one with the LBs. If the LBs make a tackle it would be 5,6, 7 yards down field. Lawrence got his butt kicked by a blocking TE multiple times and Crawford was missing in action most of the game.

Uh, he still has drop foot?
I think it's incredible he's even out there.

Yeah he does and these are the best athletes in the world. He may have been one of them but not with drop foot. Nobody on Earth is that far ahead of the curve to be able to play NFL football with a condition like Jaylon's. He has to get to atleast 98% of what he was or this just isn't going to work out well for him.

If you’re Jaylon Smith, you’re in year 1.

If you’re discussing what the Cowboys got for that pick, he is most definitely in year 2. Someone tell me if we have an extra year of control on him because he didn’t play last year. Didn’t think so.

I don’t think the issue is Jaylons play in this highlight video as much as it may be your expectations of a MLB.
A good back like Gurly follows his blockers through the hole and in almost every play where the action come to Jaylon there was a 300 plus pound pulling OL running straight at Jaylon.

There has never been a LB in the nfl who would run through those blocks and make the tackle you would need him to make to satisfy you.

It’s not even about saying Jaylon played great as much as realizing this video shows nothing good or bad from Jaylon. Sean Lee would have looked the same.

It's pointless to respond to someone who seems to know nothing about the game of football.

Our linebackers were making plays -- after the Rams were rushing for 5, 12, 15 yards. They were also getting picked on in the pass game. The loss is on that unit.

Secondary played quite well.
