He has been my pet cat since we signed him. People forget that a RB is the easiest position to come in and play in the NFL as well.

If he can pass block and knocks out a couple hundred yards in the PS he's here to stay.

As I stated weeks ago when he was signed, nobody ever heard of Alfred Morris or Terrell Davis when they came into the league. How did that turn out?

True. Gotta admit, i've never seen the guy take one snap. His draft write-up indicates he lacks the physical skills to perform at the NFL level. But you never know...we'll see what he can do for sure during the preseason games.

People on the team rave about Dunbar.

Garrett raved about him in an OTA press conference.

Witten made very positive comments about him.

One of the defensive players brought up his name the other day in a radio interview. Oddly I think it was Tyrone Crawford, but I'm not 100% on that, I might be mixing up interviews that I've heard recently.

Beasley did a radio interview a day or 2 ago and raved about Dunbar. Beasley said Dunbar can't be covered as a receiver or something to that effect.

Guess I am still waiting to see it on the field

I bet Randle isn't laughing. This kid could come in here with some fire and a chip and show what he's got. He is solid and I love his build. This could get interesting. A guy who was invited to the combine and making a team is not as outlandish as you think. This RB class was so deep he might have been lost in the shuffle coming from such a small program. There is always a handful of guys that get the combine invite and go undrafted but almost always they end up in camp, usually getting calls as soon as the draft ends.

Dominic Rhodes and Fred Jackson come to mind as people who have a similar story

I like the tape on Gus, and I like what I hear about his personality. I like how he's built, and I think he's got an outside shot at the team if McFadden can't put in significant time heading into the season. That said, he's very likely a PS player at best, and we're talking about a guy who's high-water mark is probably Mwelde Moore.

That said, teams need healthy role players who can contribute. In a lot of cases, for reserves, that's all you can ask. If we get that from a street free agent, we should be pleased.
