If we can't pay, and we will not be able to pay everyone, but if we can't pay than we better play, and get some futures in possible trades. They gotta pay Biadasz, CeeDee, Micah, O'Diggy....
Pollard had better play really special this year.
This fan is watching offensive line depth and play here and now...with a smile on his face! Through demonstrated time on carpet play!!No, this is not exaggeration. Tell me the last time Tyron Smith started and played all 16, now 17 games. Didn't the starting left guard go out in the Jets game?
One of the maxims of pro football is you win in the trenches. That means the offensive line, like the defensive line, are a work in progress every year. The window is now. Improving the Dawgs in the trenches on both sides of the ball is football as usual for every team.
Sorry you don't agree. But if injuries occur, I bet you will agree then.
Thats a rather high percentage based on faith.98% for sure Pollard is gone after this year.
We aren't far from maxed out yet and we still gotta sign Micah and Lamb.
Doubtful. Not sure we won't franchise him again since that seems to be around the going rate for RBs. Gives us another year to find his replacement, so we could add another late-round back to the mix to compete with Vaughn and the UDFAs. If no one steps up, then we take one higher the next year.
I agree, never saw him as a Full time back solutionI don't see him getting a long term contract or franchised again. I suspect that Dallas will let him go and draft a guy somewhere in the top 3 rounds.
I think Pollard is gone unless he plays for way under market value. They gotta pay Biadasz, CeeDee, Micah, O'Diggy....

Disagreed. The RB market has dried out in terms of overpaid big contracts. I believe Tony Pollard will decide to stay in Dallas and accept a reasonably well paid contract that will be good both for him and the Cowboys.I don't see him getting a long term contract or franchised again. I suspect that Dallas will let him go and draft a guy somewhere in the top 3 rounds.
I think it will depend a lot on how he plays and if he stays healthy. It also will probably depend a lot on Vaughn's development.Doubtful.
I stand behind my initial reaction I'm not gonna have any further debate with you you're wrong sorry they have been addressing the offensive line yearly they don't need to make sure they reach for anybody next year because they already got guys on this team that can be developed...No, this is not exaggeration. Tell me the last time Tyron Smith started and played all 16, now 17 games. Didn't the starting left guard go out in the Jets game?

Lets hope they dont give him a long term deal. Its his 5th season already and we dont need to pay back big money.I don't see him getting a long term contract or franchised again. I suspect that Dallas will let him go and draft a guy somewhere in the top 3 rounds.
If he has an incredible season and they want to pay him 10 mill for another year maybe? IM not for paying backs big money. What if he’s MVP of NFCCG and the SB?
Very, very few Dallas players can take advantage of that though. The rest get the same opportunities as any other market. There are different ways to get your money. The Cowboys have one of the best markets in the NFL. Cowboys players get more opportunities to make "outside" money than most others. I hope his agent will consider that.
Also, he should look at the potential of being a champion. Based on simple observation, I would say that post-career opportunities are more abundant when you are wearing a ring.
means squat what I said is 100% true they dress the offensive line every year and they have players that could easily take some starting positions in the next coming years..... I don't know what you're trying to tell me I'm sorry dude what's happening right now doesn't have anything to do with next year it's a year to year league but I'm telling you right now saying they're not addressing it the fact that we have this depth says we are addressing it and by the way same thing was said at kicker that they were being cheap they didn't wanna go out and do their due diligence and again every time a lot of you dudes open your mouth you get egg all over your face you don't know what you're talking about every team has to address turning over the roster yearly but don't say they're not addressing it because they already are addressing it they don't need your help reminding them to address things you're not at GM you're not a coach you're not even an expert just by I don't even reading all that junk up there this year means nothing for next yearI answered you above, but this is too rich to n ot pass along. This just posted a little bit again on this board. Some of it predated the Jets contest, and some was during the Jets game. No I told you so needed. It's the nature of the game with players that fight all game long to do their jobs.

FRISCO, Texas — From left to right, the Cowboys seem to be dealing with their share of injuries on the offensive line, including some of their front-line players. Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy said both Zack Martin and Chuma Edoga – the two starting guards for Sunday's game against the Jets – will likely miss Wednesday's practice this week. However, the coach isn't ruling them out to potentially play against the Cardinals in Arizona on Sunday.
"I don't see Zack practicing on Wednesday, but we'll see what Thursday brings," McCarthy said on Monday. "I think he'll definitely have an opportunity to play on Sunday. And the same thing with Chuma." Martin was on the injury report last week with a groin injury, which had him limited in two practices. He then suffered an ankle injury in the game that eventually forced him out of the game in the fourth quarter with the Cowboys up by 20 points.
Edoga has a forearm injury that kept him out of most of the second half, replaced by rookie T.J. Bass. When Martin and Edoga were both out, Asim Richards came in to play left guard and Bass on the right side.
Now, the Cowboys might get some help at guard with the return or Tyler Smith, who has missed two straight games with a hamstring injury he sustained in practice before the Week 1 opener against the Giants. Cowboys chief operating officer Stephen Jones said on 105.3 "The Fan" on Monday that Smith could make his debut this Sunday.
"We feel very optimistic about Tyler [Smith] having a great chance at having a shot against Arizona." If Tyler Smith returns, coupled by Martin being able to play, it could give the Cowboys their first game of the season at full strength on the offensive line, along with left tackle Tyron Smith, center Tyler Biadasz and right tackle Terence Steele.
