Even if you say is true, then these guys just didn't want it as badly as the Giants. Which is the real reason afterall.

I agree.
The Giants have some competitors on their defense. They got slapped down twice hard by this Dallas offensive line this season.
On top of everything else (the fact it was a playoff game) their backs were up against the wall. If they got dominated again they would have some serious questions about themselves as men.
And they did get dominated again until midway in the 3rd quarter. Dallas rang up those 2 amazing long drives.
Then something snapped, collectively, amongst that Giants defensive line unit. Like someone who has been bullied and finally starts to fight back.
Those guys pulled that second half performance out of thin air.
I have begrudging respect for them after last Sunday.

Which is why I feel they have a chance against GB on Sun-with all the comments coming out of GB how somehow, the Giants are "dirty" , something tells me that the Packers are not the kind of team that even remotely likes to play physical. Heck-it seems like the entire NFCN strays away from his style of play. Remember when we played the Bears, they ended up getting a number of guys injured, and then admitted we were the first opponent in a long time that was so physical.

no way guys, the giants are going to get killed in green bay,

i agree with you about the cowboys getting whooped in 4th quarter, and they should have exploited the giant secondary, but they didnt,

i did learn this from a very good source, that the cowboys deviated away from their regular attack plan on passiing attack, slants etc, and went moreso with the running attack, something that they have not use all year long,

i believe when your in the playoffs you attack with what brought you there, which they did not, now why did they do that, was that something that wade phillips said do it my way and it failed, why? whom made that decision?

next, if you remember we had shut down the giants, when ware jumped when he saw center o'hara move the football, the refs threw a flag on him, which resulted in them to keep moving the football and scoring, that was a big momentum changer,

next, remember when Eli Manning was being rushed, and he threw a lame duck up in the air, and he was under heavy pressure, that was deliberate intentional grounding, another big momentum changer, but wasnt called,

several more plays like that should have been called, if the combination of the offensive linemen working on their cardivacular system and working out lliek they should have, if refs had called plays when they should have and not been trying to keep the giants in the ball game, if the cowboys whomever ordered the game plan change on running and not using your passing attack mode, and attack the giants poor secondary,

all i have to remind u guys, remember about this time last year, when we played the seattle seahawks, and everyone knew we shouldl have attacked their secondary but we didnt, well same thing happened in the giant game, along with the refs, why? whom was calling these plays and change of offensive passing attacks,
if u also remember after seattle beat us, they went to chicago and they killed them with deep balls, etc, so u just watch greeen bay will kill the giants, and run away in the 3rd or 4th quarter, if u guys had been listening to Norm on theticket, he agrees, the giants are about to run out of gas, and eli will be a sitting duck;

if i am wrong i will admit it on this blog, but u guys watch green bay will win

And if memory serves, didn't Chicago have to take Seattle in OT to win? Yeah-Rex threw a couple of successful deep balls, but that was it. Otherwise, Seattle controlled the tempo of that game, and if Hassellback hadn't made an ill-advised throw up 21-17, and if the center exchange between Matt and his C hadn't gone awry late in the game, the Hawks would have won it.

Yes-I understand the logic of your post, but nonetheless, the NFL isn't mathematical logic where If A, then B, if B then C, if C the A(well, you get the picture). To the Giants' credit, they ARE your typical physical NFCE team, and the Packers are NOT(which is hardly surprising b/c they come from the NFCN), and they have no pass rush to boot.

I can easily see the Giants' run game controlling the tempo and making this a game at Lambeau? Does this mean they'll win? No-but it'll be alot closer than you think.

BTW-I still don't buy it how the offensive game plan was a stinker. Funny how us fans and the DFW media were dogging Garrett for abandoning the run through much of the year, but then he pounds the rock with successful long-sustaining drives, he's an idiot all of a sudden?

Sometimes I'm just downright embarrassed to be a Cowboys fan. This is one of those times.

To quote Tom Jackson, "ARE YOU ********?"

The giants saw after the first half that TO was not well enough to be a real threat and that TG was not either. They already knew that Austin drops the ball and that Crayton is not all that either. They had done a good job on witten; and with more pressure he would have to stay in and block more. So they basically brought everyone up and gambled they could win that way. And then our O line started to break down in the late 3rd and into the 4th for whatever reason (maybe they had not been running that much the last few weeks and playing not much either and perhaps they did run out of gas) and that was that. YET for all that we still had 3-4 shots that could have won it for us but we could not get it done.

So, now Nate Newton is an expert on cardiovascular fitness. Maybe next we can get Randall Williams's input on why our WR's were dropping balls and bring in Derek Ross for his views on the best way for players to stay out of trouble in the offseason.
Try and remember Inman, Nate has 3 SB rings. He's had his problems off the field, and he admits that his lack of concern for his health in general during his playing days, prevented him from being an even better player, and even playing longer.

I was at Candlestick in '97 I think it was, when Steve Young got knocked out of the game and we went to OT, I think. Anyway, on the winning drive, Emmitt picked up about 10-15 yards to get us in FG range (we won 17-14, I think) running behing Nate. He knocked his man 5 yards off the LOS. I didn't get anything but "humble pie" from all my co-workers after that game. It felt great after all the losses we suffered at the hands of the 9ers in the '80's.

I'll always be a fan of Nate Newton and I think a lot of what he says would help these guys if they'd listen to him...

I caught during the telecast, the sideline guy for Fox reporting that Sparano was yelling at his guys on the line, after a particularly ugly series in the 4th, that they shouldn't wait for the Dlinemen to attack them, that they were being hesitant

that's probably more like it, that they were dominating the Giant Oline all game, and when the 4th quarter rolled around, they thought they were done and slacked off

Well, considering the fact that Nate Newton had to block on many of the Cowboys time-consuming drives, I wouldn't dismiss his comments so cavalierly.

If anyone would know why the Cowboys offensive line couldn't sustain itself after two time-consuming drives, it would be a former Cowboy with experience in that situation.

I think the explanation is much simpler

the guys put it on cruise-control after dominating for 3 quarters
