So hard to tell, but watching Guyton move makes me very optimistic about him.

I was watching some of the Cowboys practice today on NFL network, it is one practice and only a few plays but I was very disappointed in what I saw of Mazi Smith. He was getting shoved around by Brock Hoffman. He is still a little slow on the snap. I guess we could say Hoffman looks good, or Mazi looks bad. But if Mazi does not make major strides this summer the Cowboys defense is going to have a big problem.
Unfortunately Mazi stinks.

Parsons isn't attacking anywhere close to 100%.

Either he realizes that it doesn't do anyone good to embarrass a rookie or the coaching staff has actually requested that he dial it down just a little for training purposes.

I think that Guyton is doing well and he shows a lot of promise but let's not raise expectations to an unrealistic level.

Haters gonna hate.

lol… not hating at all. I have no problem with the Cowboys first round pick. He is a player that has a lot of upside, but obviously some question marks until he gets a lot more experience.

It’s just calling it as I see it… If Micah Parsons looks like that on every snap this year, then he’s not a player that’s going to get the contract he wants.

You may find this hard to believe, but two things can be true. Guyton might be a good prospect in the long run, and Micah Parsons might not have been giving his all on that snap. That might be hard for you to digest, but it’s true.

I just find it funny how many fans here ALWAYS look for the negative first. It’s a character thing.

Reading anything into this is kind of silly but I do have a good feeling about him regardless.

We agree on one thing, it is a character thing. But it’s not looking at the negative first. It’s looking at something objectively before making a decision on what you’re seeing.

Everybody’s own perception is their own reality… You live in a blue colored glass world… And more power to you for that. Not everybody lives there. You should not assume, or expect, that they do

I don’t expect them to. Like you said, it’s a choice. You can always look for the negative first or always looks the the positive first. You choose to live in a black colored glass world. Don’t expect there not to be positive people. I think we both know which side is healthier both mentally and physically.

I don't say this to be negative, but my honest impression here is that Parsons looks to be going 3/4 speed. Good to see out of Guyton, but I wouldnt get too high just yet. Still a good job of not getting off balance against an excellent speed rusher like Micah.
Usually the way it works in preseason drills. It's more about working on technique than going all out. That's good for Guyton because he needs the technique work.

Reading is a skill. You obviously did not read my post. Or if you did, you just did not comprehend it. You are so blinded by what you call ‘haters’ on this message board, that you believe anybody that has an opinion that differs from yours to be, automatically, a “negative” person. You simply do not live in the real world where there are areas of gray.

I don’t understand people who enjoy being bitter all the time. Not saying you. Just the well known haters.
